What customers say

East End Farm is a tidy, friendly spot with top-notch facilities, including modern, heated showers and loos. Owners are helpful, the rural vibe is peaceful, and it's handy for towns and the coast. Generous pitches, WiFi, and a kitchen area. Expect a bit of road noise and sometimes busy loos when it's packed.

Liked So very glad I found this site on pitch up, I booked it pretty last minute over the bank holiday weekend and did not expect a lot. What I got was spotless showers toilets and washing facilities lovely owners where nothing was to much trouble they were so very accommodating and friendly and a separate adults only field away from the families with children. I hadn’t read up on the actual page about this so it was a nice surprise. There were many tents and a few camper-vans and then myself with a caravan, some people have complained about the noise from the road but I can honestly say if you’re in a van of any sort you cannot hear the road and I was the closest. If renting then ok I can see if being annoying. On the last day I didn’t take my awning down and of course it rained, the owners were very accommodating in letting me have a late check out for only a few pounds £8 and I am able to stay till 5, it’s now glorious sunshine and the awning is down and I’m enjoying the last hours of relaxation before heading home. It’s been a lovely stay and ill definitely be back.

Liked A lovely clean campsite. Lots of space and good facilities.

Disliked Location not great and nothing for kids to do. No campfires allowed. Owner came round telling dogs which were occasionally barking that they would be removed if they continued to bark. Don’t allow dogs if you don’t want to hear a bark. They were hardly barking. Also came round at 930pm to say now is quiet time. However, people were up until well after 11pm. Which is absolutely fine that they were up still, it was bank holiday and families were enjoying themselves. The 930pm visit to everyone is totally unnecessary and made it all feel very big brother.

Local attractions

There’s some lovely scenery to explore around the chalk hills of the Yorkshire Wolds, so it’s a fine area for a walk or a bike ride. If you’d like to get around in a different way, you could sign up for horse riding from Woldgate Trekking & Livery Centre (20 minutes’ drive) or take a heritage railway ride from the Yorkshire Wolds Railway museum (10 minutes). This area is rich in historic buildings to visit too – your stately home tour might take you to places like Sledmere House (10 minutes), Burton Agnes Hall (15 minutes), Castle Howard (35 minutes) and Burton Constable Hall & Grounds (40 minutes). For green-fingered types, Burnby Hall Gardens (25 minutes) is the place to go, with lakes, a walled garden and an Edwardian rock garden. For days out with the kids, try a Highland cow safari at Dumble Farm (20 minutes), traditional seaside antics at Bridlington beach (25 minutes) or a look at underwater life at The Deep aquarium in Hull (45 minutes).
