  • Peaceful Suffolk meadow glamping spot in the village of Buxhall
  • Bury St Edmunds, Lavenham and Jimmy's Farm within a half-hour drive
  • Well-equipped units with kitchen, private bathroom and beds made up
If your sights are set on staying at a serene spot in a Suffolk meadow with a relaxed vibe helped greatly by a setting that’s well away from the road and full of trees and other greenery, bed down at Buxhall Country Glamping. This spot in the little village of Buxhall (just across the road from the pub, rather handily…), and around a 10-minute drive from Stowmarket, also has plenty of space for kids to play safely. As evening falls, guests tend to gather around the communal firepit to socialise, stargaze and keep warm. Cosiness is covered inside the glamping accommodation too: beds are made up ahead of your arrival and there’s no need to lug a whole bunch of stuff with you for a stay as each space is set up with a full-sized fridge, combi-microwave, kettle, toaster, barbecue and plenty of kitchen kit. Every unit also has its own allocated shower and toilet in the site’s ‘peepod’, so you won’t be sharing beyond your own travelling party, and towels are provided too. When it comes to getting out and about in East Anglia, the park’s nifty location makes it a splendid base: the site team recommend days out in Lavenham and Bury St Edmunds (within 20 minutes' drive), outings to the coast at Southwold and Aldeburgh (an hour away) and outdoorsy times in Thetford Forest (35 minutes). Closer to home, there are lots of lovely walks nearby to wander off on, and a village playing field a few minutes’ stroll away with a play area for the kids.

Liked: Had a great stay here with our two boys (10 and 12). Accommodation was very clean and very well stocked with everything we could need. The seperate but private bathroom/shower is a very nice touch. The boys loved spending time around the communial fire pit. Will defiently be looking to return in the future. Great location to use as a base to explore Suffolk/Norfolk.

Camping pod (no pets)

Liked: We can not rate this site highly enough, they have thought of everything including marshmallows and toasting tongs! Individual bathrooms per family is a real bonus. Clean, comfortable and friendly. We had a great stay despite the torrential rain on our first night and hurricane winds on second.

Camping pod (pet friendly)

Liked: The whole environment! Everything we needed was there and the beds were comfortable and the showers were brilliant (and super clean) Having our ‘own’ allocated bathroom facilities was a real luxury. The football goal for the children was an added bonus. Val and Graham were very friendly and welcoming.
