The site is in a field…
Fully-serviced grass and sand pitch
Liked The site is in a field behind a farm. Each pitch is separated by a hedge to make it more secluded. EHU on all pitches. The shower block is a bit dated. The showers are operated with a push button and were nice and hot. The pitches were level.

Never saw management for 3 days. Felt unsafe. Wouldn't stay again
Fully-serviced grass and sand pitch
Liked The location was excellent, right next to Sutton Hoo museum. Only a short drive into Woodbridge. Several pubs a short drive away.
Disliked No security barrier at entrance to field.
Backed onto a field of chickens which was no problem as we knew it was a farm but farm machinery in that field was being moved about from 6.30am one morning. Sadly waking us up.
Whilst the toilet pans in the facilities were clean we had to share the showers and toilets with cobwebs and spiders for the 4 nights. I counted at least five different types of spiders in their cobwebs over the period. Same place every day. I think having to duck the same cobwebs every day of our stay to get through the entrance door is a bit much. The sinks really could have done with a bit of limescale removal as well.
Finally if owners have planters they really should refresh them as soon as flowers start to fade. Admittedly they were tidied up a bit the day before we left but it just made it all look very unloved.

From the manager: I am so sorry you found spiders and cobwebs in the shower block, they have now been removed. If you had told me it was a problem when I came to speak to you I would have dealt with it sooner. No one has ever mentioned feeling unsafe before and a barrier is not something we have ever considered. Your husband was very pleased to be offered a late check out so you could return home at a time to suit you, therefore I presumed you had enjoyed your stay.
Small campsite with roomy pitches, clean facilities, great location
Fully-serviced grass and sand pitch
Liked Large pitch, convenience to Sutton Hoo, lovely walks, clean toilets, hot showers, dog walk field.
Disliked It did not bother us, but there is road noise in the day, quiet at night.

Lovely peaceful site for a real getaway
Fully-serviced grass and sand pitch
Liked Nice quiet site, lovely and dark at night, toilets and showers looked clean and warm (we didn't use them) , easy access to Sutton Hoo, bus stop outside to Ipswich and Woodbridge (very limited bus service every 2 hours only)
Pitches clearly defined with hedges.
Disliked Pitch was very muddy, lesson learned only go for sites with hardstanding in winter, no TV signal and WiFi didn't work

Great site with clean facilities and private, level pitches.
Fully-serviced grass and sand pitch
Liked This is a lovely small campsite with level pitches divided up by hedging. The site is friendly and well maintained. The facilities are simple but clean with lovely hot showers. Fire pits available. Absolutely brilliantly situated for visiting Sutton Hoo - only a 5-10 mins flat walk.
Disliked Tractor noise in the field behind disturbed us one night but it’s inevitable that farmers sometimes need to work late into the night.
