Watch dawn rising over the nearby woodland, sit by an open fire as dusk bird chorus begins or step out at night to see the canopy of stars overhead. Inside, the rooms are spacious and light, with an open plan kitchen and dining room, and a comfortable cosy lounge. The generous glass on the east facing facade allows the sun to warm the house. The earthen roof keeps this warmth in winter and cools the house in the summer. The house is a rated and has a feeling of tranquility throughout. From your door, you can walk out onto meadows where nature is returning in abundance. Sit in your private and secluded hot tub watching the stars and wildlife spotting. Nectar rich wild flowers for butterflies, briars for song birds, areas of long grass for voles and up overhead the high-flying buzzards. From here, explore the woodland walk that leads past ancient oaks towards the meandering river Ken. If you are lucky, catch a glimpse of a kingfisher, or dwell in the deep peace of the woodland clearings. We can guide you to local markets and organic food suppliers to cook your own food inside or over the open fire.
