Goodwins Farm

General

  • Peaceful 40-acre Suffolk campsite with secluded woodland pitches
  • Aldeburgh 25 minutes' drive; Lowestoft 40 minutes
  • A mile and a half from a shop, butcher's and tea rooms

Goodwins Farm is a peaceful 40-acre site set in a quiet agricultural area near the Suffolk village of Peasenhall. Guests here have access to a great network of paths that crisscross the local countryside, plus cycle routes along the coast just a short distance away to the east. Handily, the farm is also 25 minutes' walk away from the village of Peasenhall and 40 minutes' walk from the village of Sibton, which have a pub, village shop and post office, a tea room, butchers and church between them.

The facilities for the basic woodland pitches include a unisex compost toilet, a cold water tap, a communal firepit and barbeque (wood can be foraged from the forest floor), and use of a fridge and freezer. The standard grass pitches include extra facilities like the use of a unisex indoor shower and toilet and a hot water washing-up area.

Goodwins Farm is family-friendly, but as there are two ponds on site (and livestock), it's important that all children are properly supervised throughout their time here. The site staff recommend bringing a torch, sturdy shoes and insect repellent to make the most out of this off-grid location.

Very friendly & welcoming owners, on arrival you’re offered a choice of pitches around a very organised field with all amenities within walking distance.. Tent up, car parked & chilled 😎🥂😎
Peace & quiet with only nature’s calls all around..
The stars at night were epic.. the Milky Way was so clear to see, so reclining chairs a must with a flask of coffee, you’ll be out there for hours 🌔✨🪐
A perfect base camp for exploring the fabulous Suffolk coast & finding wonderful items at Friday Street CarBoot Sale, early on a Sunday mornings!

A lovely peaceful site where you can choose if you want a pitch in the large spacious hay meadow or further into the woodland area. They do not have many pitches so everyone is spaced out nicely For a few pounds more I paid the extra to have the hot shower, toilet, washing up and fridge/freezer facilities that are in a garage area next to the main farmhouse. There is a composting toilet out in the woodland area if you are more of a wild camper. Lovely to see the sheep, chickens and horse on the farm. Zoe and Colin were very welcoming and friendly hosts. I would definitely come back to stay again.

What a wonderful stay! Clean pitches , very kind and accommodating owners . Who showed us around and let us choose where we would like to stay. It was lovely and quiet (1 other family) .
We had a firepit , table and chairs , candles and matches. Aswell of the use of the communal firepit .
My boys 3 and 6 had such a lovely time exploring the woodlands , climbing trees and marshmallows on the firepit. They loved foraging for wood and spying on the wild rabbits.
There is so much space and lovely woodland walks to explore. We all cant wait to come again!

Had the most peaceful time away at this site, basic facilities but all yiu need! Pitches are nice and far apart which means even it'll it was bust yiu would still have your own little space. Owners where very lovely and popped in to say hello occasionally but otherwise just let you enjoy this peaceful little part of suffolk. Big communal fire pit with plenty of seating for those wanting a nice fire at night. Only 15mins drive to the nearest tesco if you need anything.

Perfect all round for what I needed. Highly recommend to those wanting somewhere off the grid a bit and quiet.

This is an absolutely beautiful camp spot with a wild feel to it! The hosts were also great and each morning made a point of saying hello and asking how we were. There is no light pollution on the site so the views of the stars from the tent were incredible. Lots of space and trails to explore on-site.
