Trinity Park Camping: Looking across the pitches

General

  • Spacious pitches on a 320-acre site on the outskirts of Ipswich
  • A 15-minute drive to the Suffolk coast; 20 minutes to Sutton Hoo
  • Dog-friendly pitches with electric hookup and picnic table

Trinity Park Campsite is a privately owned 320-acre site that’s handily placed for all sorts of Suffolk attractions. This parkland site is most famous as the location for the annual Suffolk Show, but it’s a fab spot to settle in at any time for breaks that mix up town, country and coast time.

A 10-minute drive from either the A12 or A14 brings you to this site on the outskirts of Ipswich; it’ll also take you about 10 minutes to get into the town centre if you need shops, restaurants or other urban amenities. Turn your sights in a different direction and you can get to the Suffolk coast in about 15 minutes or get to historic Sutton Hoo in about 20 minutes.

Back at base, pitches are pleasingly spacious, and each one has its own electric hookup and picnic table; a short walk from the pitches is a permanent amenities block with toilets and showers, including dedicated disabled facilities. There's wifi on site too, and plenty of space to take a family bike ride or walk the dog.

Please note

The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.

No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

We loved the amount of space at the site. The plot sizes were great and we especially loved the picnic benches for each plot- it made our lives a lot easier!
We had full access to WiFi. I run my own business so this was great to be able to pop on if I needed to.
We were lucky enough to stay when the farmers market was on, lovely fresh produce and great to have a bimble about!
Best ice cream we’ve ever eaten, too.

Trinity Park is a really good campsite in a great location for exploring the Suffolk area. It is a new site and has made a great start in welcoming campers. The pitches are a great size with room for tent car and awning and each pitch has a picnic table benches and electric hook up which is all great value for money. There is a large toilet and shower block with 3 free hot showers and hot & cold water washing facilities. The campsite is very close to several supermarkets and shops including Sainsburys, Aldi, Waitrose and B&M bargains. There are also a few pubs close by but we didn't use them so can not comment on quality of food and drink available. At present the campsite has one washing up sink with hot and cold water, drinking water taps, waste water drains and a separate chemical disposal emptying facility. All in all this is a great campsite which is evolving and wish them well.

    Disliked:

The toilet and shower block needs a deep clean to bring it up to a good standard, although the job sheet was signed to say that the block had been cleaned every day during our stay it had only been checked over and not actually cleaned every day. It is the only thing letting the site down. I have suggested leaving a bucket of water with detergent in it and a mop outside the shower area so that campers can mop them after use which is something that many campsites do.

Toilet blocks need attention. Toilets and showers are clean but the building needed a deep clean. Cubicle walls and floors need a thorough clean. Need more washing up stations as there is only one on site.
