  • Spacious rural campsite in a spectacular corner of north Norfolk
  • A 10-minute drive from Wells-next-the-Sea; Sheringham 30 minutes
  • Firepits available to hire; well-supervised dogs welcome
Walsingham Wild Camping is located a five-minute stroll away from Little Walsingham village centre in a very rural part of northern Norfolk. If you're a fan of countryside walks, trips to the coast, strolls round historic churches or a day lounging in a beer garden, then this could well be the holiday destination for you. The pitches here are individually mown into a meadow covered by long grass, giving guests a real sense of space and seclusion. This back to basics site has simple shared facilities including toilets and a washing-up tap, but other than that you'll be pretty much left to your own devices. Well-behaved dogs are allowed as long as they’re kept on their best behaviour at all times, and if you'd like to treat yourself to a cook-out you can hire a firepit and get grilling by your pitch. Little Walsingham has been welcoming visitors as a place of pilgrimage since the 12th century; local traditions of hospitality can be experienced first-hand in its many top pubs, cafés and shops. Slightly further away, there's also the larger town of Wells-next-the-Sea (10 minutes' drive), a coastal spot within walking distance of a sandy beach.
