  • Three-acre rural Norfolk site with easy access from the A140
  • A 20-minute drive to Norwich; 45 minutes to Norfolk beaches
  • Fenced dog exercise area; recreation room with sofas, pool and darts
Welcome to Wuzzys World… and what a fine world it is to live in, with lots of open space and some good facilities to use while you’re here. Wuzzys World Campsite is just outside the Norfolk village of Tasburgh, with easy access from the A140 – and that means not only straightforward manoeuvring into the site but also equally easy ability to get out and about, whether you’re heading up into Norwich, aiming for the beaches of the east coast or exploring The Broads National Park. Guest numbers are limited here, so you’ll be guaranteed to have a good amount of space to spread out in. The 1.5-acre site is completely fenced, so it’s safe and secure all around, and directly next to it is another 1.5 acres that’s mostly used for the owners’ dogs to have a good run around; you’re welcome to use this space for the same purpose if you’re bringing your dogs along. (This area has a doggy bin and water supply so they can have a drink and/or a wash…) Other facilities on site include a washing-up area and two separate toilet/shower and sink units that have pressurised water cylinders to provide constant hot water for the showers. Motorhomes can use a drive-over grey waste disposal point or empty tanks into the cesspit if more convenient. Evenings may well be spent tending your barbecue, but you’ll also have some indoor space to relax in should you prefer – this recreation room is in a converted school mobile unit that’s now been fitted out with comfy seating, a dartboard and a pool table, along with a kitchen area that’s got a fridge and freezer.

Bell tent

Liked: The space was incredible, it was so peaceful with amazing views. Very reasonable price

Disliked: From the Bell tent it was quite a walk in pitch black to the toilets which were serviceable but could be cleaner.

Electric optional grass and earth touring pitch

Liked: Pitch size was massive, secure field to let dogs have a run around

Disliked: could do with more showers & toilets on the site and it would be better if hand dryers were installed, the site was probably only a 1/3 occupied during our stay and by the end of each day there wasn’t any clean hand cloths available for drying hands (face cloths are provided for drying hands). Toilets dirty at times as others campers being disrectful to other campers. (Skid marks left in the toilets). Toilet brushes are provided but seems some people can’t be bothered to clean up after themselves (could be the kids)

Electric optional grass and earth tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Nice flat field with views of the sunset across adjacent farmland, clean bathroom with hot shower. The friendly owner came round to check on guests and make sure everyone had what they needed. Felt nice and safe, and saw quite a few rabbits on the field at night.

Disliked: Entrance to the campsite goes through a work yard with lots of containers and a few junk vehicles, not a problem but perhaps not very appealing.

Electric optional grass and earth tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Clean toilet block on arrival soap and toilet roll (needs more regular checks and stocks or take your own ) Shower block warm water - need to wear flip flops floor not clean Kids games room / sofas etc good place to keep dry if raining and for kids to chill does need a bit of attention though & could be lovely. Large field lots of space to run , small climbing frame. Secure area. Quiet campsite no noise after 10pm apart from cars on main road 30 mins drive from Norfolk broads Nice garden centre next door with restaurant and pub down the road

Disliked: Entrance via industrial type park with large gas/ oil tanks with DANGER signs right next to camp entrance. Had to pay 50p for pool table but cues broken with sharp end and no felt so impossible to hit balls - table damaged- should have been free and cues should be looked after. Darts board but no darts. Loads of outdoor games / toys visible but locked away. We booked the campsite for a tent, a small camper and one person mini caravan Told to book a tent pitch and plenty of space for us all to fit on Day before arrival was told would actually need to pay for 2 pitches On arrival set up on one pitch with loads of space. Still wanted us to pay for 2. We agreed. When we tried to pay was told don’t worry hope you had a nice stay. So for £7.50 deposit would not have anything to complain about However if had of had to pay £100 (2x pitches for 2 nights ) Would have felt this was expensive as it’s just a field next to a main road and an industrial estate with nowhere to walk or do anything so over priced for what it is. Would have been happy to pay for one pitch ie £50 for 2 nights but in the end he gave it us hugely discounted, I imagine as the kids were taking pictures of every hazard they found and toilets were not stocked up/ cleaned so often had no loo roll / hand towels etc Busy road next to field although no visible it was noisy all night

Local attractions

There are rural activities galore around here, including fishing at Taswood Lakes (five minutes’ drive), nature walks at Tyrrel’s Wood (10 minutes), and canoeing on the Waveney river (20 minutes). You also won’t have far to travel to visit The 100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum (20 minutes) or Bressingham Steam Museum & Gardens (25 minutes), home to all sorts of engines as well as a classic merry-go-round. For a taste of city life, head north to Norwich (20 minutes, or catch the bus from just outside the site) to see the cathedral and castle or wander through the colourful old streets and see what you can pick up from the market. If you’re more in the mood for rural scenery, head instead to The Broads National Park (half an hour), where you can explore the waterways on a cruise, hire your own boat or walk/bike around. And of course it’s not far to the coast, either, so you may like to plan beach days in Southwold or Lowestoft (both 45 minutes).
