  • Peaceful adults-only site outside the village of Felthorpe, Norfolk
  • Norwich 25 minutes’ drive; Broads National Park half an hour
  • Wellness area on site with sauna, plunge pool and beauty treatments
Leave the kids with their grandparents (but bring the dog…) and treat your other half to a romantic weekend in the Norfolk countryside. In order for romance to thrive, though, you need a peaceful setting, and that’s exactly what awaits at Breezy Acre. At this adults-only site about a mile outside the village of Felthorpe (it’s a 15-minute walk to the village pub), you and your beloved should be able to find the quiet to recharge your batteries. If peace and tranquillity don’t make a dent on your stress levels, how about this? The site also has a wellness area, so you can pamper yourself with a relaxing private treatment (for an additional fee) or a session in the wood-fired sauna, followed by an invigorating plunge-pool dip, of course. There are two fishing lakes, a couple of golf clubs and a handful of pubs serving food within a 10-minute drive of the site. Or you might want to explore your natural surroundings, taking the dog for a walk (on a lead, mind) in Broadland Country Park, Alderford Common or the Norfolk Wildlife Trust's Buxton Heath (all five minutes’ drive). These areas of woodland and heathland attract plenty of birds and butterflies. Or maybe you’d prefer to head to the coast. Cromer is half an hour away, and after fish and chips on the beach, you might want to check out what’s on at the Pavilion Theatre on the pier.

Electric grass campervan or tent pitch

Liked Location was perfect. Hosts were absolutely lovely. Within 20 minutes of Norwich city centre in 45 minutes of Wells next the sea. I couldn't have asked for a better place to set up camp for the weekend.

Disliked Not a dislike as such but I can imagine when the site is fully booked. Having only one toilet and one shower might become a very very small issue. But in no way would I let that put me off going again and I will be booking again as soon as possible

Non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch

Liked The location was great, campsite spacing is fabulous as you get plenty of room and they have left a big area in the middle tk allow you to relax and spread out without being ontop of each other.

Non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch

Liked We loved our stay here. It is a great place. Clean and very well kept. Good location that allows you to visit local attractions easly.
We got to pitch our tent under some trees that provided us with shade the whole day, which was great for beating the heat during our stay.
Facilities were new and very clean, but could do with another toilet block, because a single block (with shower) can get busy when there are 10 pitches.

Non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch

Liked Brand NEW, fabulous little site. 5 pitches with EHU, 5 Non EHU. All grass and all level with easy access. Very friendly and helpful owners who deserve to do well. It was very hot during our 3 day stay, but there are great dog friendly, cool and well shaded woodland walks a short 5 minute drive away. Owner's description is accurate and worth reading in full.
We had decent mobile signal - enough to stream movies etc.

Disliked Nothing that we disliked at all!

Local attractions

After visiting the imposing 11th-century cathedral in Norwich (25 minutes’ drive), check out the collections on display at Norwich Castle, which include ancient Egyptian and Roman artefacts, Anglo-Saxon objects and items related to the Royal Norfolk Regiment. Stay until the evening to catch a musical or a comedy performance at the Norwich Theatre. On your way to Cromer (half an hour), stop at National Trust - Felbrigg Hall, Gardens & Estate, a 17th-century country house with a pretty walled garden planted to fragrant herbs. Then it’s on to Cromer and the coast: stroll along Cromer Esplanade (see if you can spot Banksy’s ‘Luxury Rentals Only’ artwork), then climb up Cromer Ridge to reach the lighthouse. The best way to explore the Broads National Park (half an hour) is probably by boat. This expansive area of wetlands and waterways is home to a wide variety of birdlife, including bitterns and marsh harriers, plus water shrews and otters.
