Leave the kids with their grandparents (but bring the dog…) and treat your other half to a romantic weekend in the Norfolk countryside. In order for romance to thrive, though, you need a peaceful setting, and that’s exactly what awaits at Breezy Acre. At this adults-only site about a mile outside the village of Felthorpe (it’s a 15-minute walk to the village pub), you and your beloved should be able to find the quiet to recharge your batteries. If peace and tranquillity don’t make a dent on your stress levels, how about this? The site also has a wellness area, so you can pamper yourself with a relaxing beauty treatment or a session in the wood-fired sauna (followed by an invigorating plunge-pool dip, of course). There are two fishing lakes, a couple of golf clubs and a handful of pubs serving food within a 10-minute drive of the site. Or you might want to explore your natural surroundings, taking the dog for a walk (on a lead, mind) in Broadland Country Park, Alderford Common or the Norfolk Wildlife Trust's Buxton Heath (all five minutes’ drive). These areas of woodland and heathland attract plenty of birds and butterflies. Or maybe you’d prefer to head to the coast. Cromer is half an hour away, and after fish and chips on the beach, you might want to check out what’s on at the Pavilion Theatre on the pier.

Em va agradar This is a great peaceful site with a fantastic sauna, plunge pool and relaxation place.

You are close by to some fantastic walks of all distances.

Trees provide some natural shade and the owners are very welcoming.

No em va agradar There is currently only one toilet and shower that are housed together in the same building. The site was quiet but one of our fellow campers seemed to take forever when using the facilities.

Em va agradar Breezy Acre is a lovely little campsite! I was there just one night, and very much enjoyed the big oak trees, the peace and quiet, and the impeccable bathroom! The owner gave me a warm welcome. I wish I could have stayed longer, to have a massage treatment and make use of the sauna.

No em va agradar There were only three groups of us, but if there were more I would have appreciated a separate loo. When there's only one bathroom, and the shower is very lovely and warm, someone might have to wait quite a while, which can be a little stressful.

Em va agradar Nice quiet campsite, well maintained and level. Owner has plans for extra toilet facilities ( which is needed ) owners were very friendly and helpful.

Em va agradar Such a stunning site, very clean, has all you need for the most perfect relaxing time away. the Host's as such lovely people and very informative on things near by. The wellness centre on site is the most perfect addition if you want to be fully relaxed and it is very reasonably priced for the quality of treatments, I had the best massage of my life.
The location is great and such a lovely woodland walk just up the road.

Em va agradar Lovely site, well maintained and great location for Norwich and surrounding coast. Quiet adult only site with very clean new facilities. Sauna and plunge pool are a great addition, although we did not use them. Lovely owners who could not be more helpful. Will definately visit again.

After visiting the imposing 11th-century cathedral in Norwich (25 minutes’ drive), check out the collections on display at Norwich Castle, which include ancient Egyptian and Roman artefacts, Anglo-Saxon objects and items related to the Royal Norfolk Regiment. Stay until the evening to catch a musical or a comedy performance at the Norwich Theatre. On your way to Cromer (half an hour), stop at National Trust - Felbrigg Hall, Gardens & Estate, a 17th-century country house with a pretty walled garden planted to fragrant herbs. Then it’s on to Cromer and the coast: stroll along Cromer Esplanade (see if you can spot Banksy’s ‘Luxury Rentals Only’ artwork), then climb up Cromer Ridge to reach the lighthouse. The best way to explore the Broads National Park (half an hour) is probably by boat. This expansive area of wetlands and waterways is home to a wide variety of birdlife, including bitterns and marsh harriers, plus water shrews and otters.
