  • Peaceful park within 10 minutes' walk from Happisburgh beach
  • Accommodation fields with views of Happisburgh lighthouse
  • Within 35 minutes' drive of both Cromer and Great Yarmouth
Happy times in Happisburgh? Bag a break at Manor Caravan Park in this quiet Norfolk village for a peaceful setting, a friendly laidback vibe and a location only 10 minutes’ walk from the nearest beach. The family team here have run the park for over 50 years and know their stuff inside out when it comes to the essentials for excellent holidays: there’s a spacious, clean and modern amenities block with male, female and accessible/family facilities; reception is open daily, and site wardens Barbara and Mike are on hand to show guests to their pitches and to keep everything running smoothly. Covered sinks at the rear of the toilet block supply hot water and an Elsan point is also available. Pitches are in two roomy fields, divided by the amenities block with views of the famed Happisburgh lighthouse and the 15th-century church sitting high on a hill overlooking the village. Off site, it’s half a mile’s stroll to Happisburgh beach, 15 minutes’ drive to North Walsham and 10 minutes to the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cromer is half an hour’s drive to the north and Great Yarmouth 35 minutes south. Manor Caravan Park is set up as a 'get away from it all' site, so there’s no noisy bar, arcade or other overcrowded facilities, just a large play area for kids' games available unless the site is very busy (and set well away from the pitching fields). Other essentials are within easy reach: the local pub is five minutes’ walk away and a café serving breakfasts, takeaway fish and chips, lunches and afternoon teas and cake is five minutes’ drive from the site. Source supplies at the local beach too, home to an acclaimed burger van service in summer selling crab and beef burgers as well as cakes… these have proved pretty popular with previous guests…

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Facilities were kept clean, good showers. Level pitches ,water and electric hook-up very close to tent . Beach is walking distance.

Disliked: There was a lot of noise during our stay ,until dark. No shops /restaurants /cafes were open in walking distance on a Saturday evening. No wifi and had no signal for half of the stay .

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Made very welcome upon arrival. Really good sized, flat grass pitch. Very quiet seeing as it was full of families. Great location, a short 10 minute walk to the beach, stunning views of the church and lighthouse, also for a drive out exploring the coast. Smashing shower block.

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked: The camp toilets and showers were very clean. Cleaned multiple times throughout the day. The hosts were really nice and the shop on site had some good things Really close to the beach which was nice

Disliked: There wasn’t very much around the area but that’s not the campsites fault.

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked: The campsite is so lovely, very clean and tidy and great facilities. There's a little shop with all the essentials and a laundrette too (although the laundrette is expensive). The beach is a 15 min walk and there's a great pub in the village. We stayed with my family including kids and everyone loved it. Would come again.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Lovely campsite with great view of the Happisburgh lighthouse. Excellent amenities, showers, toilets, washing up, laundry all spotless and very clean. Lovely friendly and efficient couple checking us in…chatty and great sense of humour…’ the flasher’ is still here ie the lighthouse. We’ve been back 3x now as it’s very easy and laid back…dog friendly which is important to us and lovely walks and fabulous beaches. The local bell ringers are very welcoming and we enjoyed joining their practice. Overall we had a lovely relaxing break with no hassle… thank you. We will return again. Highly recommended.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: We were warmly welcomed on arrival by the staff. The site is pleasantly laid out over a spacious area and extremely well kept. We could see the lighthouse and the church from where we were pitched. The shower block facilities were spotless throughout our week's stay. The small on site shop was open every day and stocked a range of fresh and frozen food as well as other useful items. There are several different lovely walks from the site to the coast and through the village so we found it easy to explore and exercise our energetic spaniel.

Local attractions

The knowledgeable Manor Caravan Park know their stuff when it comes to things to see and do locally too: one particular recommendation is East Ruston Old Vicarage Garden, five minutes’ drive away, with acres’ worth of lushly maintained gardens and garden statuary. The Norfolk Broads are also a must, especially via a boat trip or boat hire from Horning (20 minutes), as is seal spotting around the north Norfolk coast; have a look from Horsey Gap (20 minutes) or sail out from Morston, 55 minutes away. The National Trust-managed Felbrigg Hall and the Blickling Estate are 30 and 35 minutes’ drive away.
