  • Friendly and simple site a short walk from the river in Loddon
  • Great Yarmouth and BeWILDerwood within a half-hour drive
  • Pubs, cafés, shops and bus stops within a few minutes' walk
What’s it to be for your Norfolk break – beach days, country walks, boating around the Broads, active adventures, city strolls, sipping cider in the pub? Mix and match as you please when you stay at Loddon Oasis Camping, a simple and friendly site in the little town of Loddon. This attractive little riverside town is a fabulously convenient one for all sorts of days out, so you should never want for things to do while you're staying here. And the site’s setting is very handy too, within just a few minutes' walk of the town’s shops, cafés, pubs, bus stops and other amenities. Dogs are welcome on site, and there’s plenty of space nearby for them (and you) to stretch legs on a riverside walk. If you're not feeling quite so active, settle on the riverbank for a bit of fishing. This small and simple site prides itself on being a friendly place with a great community spirit. Families, couples and solo adventurers are all equally welcome, and will be encouraged to rest and unwind in this lovely chilled-out location. Barbecues are permitted for those who fancy a bit of outdoor cookery, although it should be noted that there’s a fish and chip shop just over the road… As a fuss-free site, the facilities have been kept on the simple side, but you'll have access to essentials like toilets, showers and picnic tables.

Electric grass pitch

Liked We enjoyed a quiet night at this tranquil site. It’s a bit of a "rustic" experience with plenty of molehills and sloping ground, so leveling blocks are a must. While the amenities are basic, they are well-maintained and clean.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely village very convenient. Takeaways a minutes walk away and some nice pubs.

Disliked Site needed some TLC. Rubbish on the ground and muddy. Views weren’t great and it felt like a scrap yard at times. Hole in shower room floor covered by Lino. Owners didn’t seem active in cleaning it up or mowing grass etc

Electric grass pitch

Liked The area is really good, plenty of options food/restaurant/walks picturesque by the river
Close to public transport links easy to travel to Norwich and Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft

Disliked Toilet block was clean but issues with shower, feel there should be a larger block for the amount of people this site can have at any one time.
Mole issues which cause the site to be quite uneven! Poorly lit at night but understand that improvements are being made.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Good location for Loddon high street and walks near the river.

Disliked Sloping grass campsite with mud tracks. Advised to try to get towards the top of the campsite to pitch but we were unable to due to wheel spinning on grass. When we attempted to leave a local saw us wheel spinning to get up the slope and advised they had seen others struggling. Advised to roll to bottom of hill and take run up at a very muddy rutted track that runs around the outside of the site, we just made it! If you are going to keep a campsite open all year round you need to make sure vehicles can get on and off the site.
2 toilets, 1 shower (not working). £10 per night for EHU!! Scruffy site and surroundings. Over priced.

Electric optional grass and earth tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Nice simple campsite, right in the middle of Loddon but still quiet at night. As a solo tent camper, I really appreciated Jack texting to let me know he wouldn’t be on site when I got there and telling me I could pitch up wherever I liked.

Electric optional grass and earth tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Loved it! Perfect space and place for us to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. Time out from our cluttered lives where we spend so much time trying to help and support others. Minimal facilities but we prefer it that way. Almost wild camping within reach of the high street!

Local attractions

One of the major draws in Norfolk is The Broads National Park – and you'll easily be able to explore the waterways from here, perhaps hiring a boat from Loddon Marina or canoes from Beccles (15 minutes' drive). Walks and bike rides are equally rewarding in these landscapes, and there are loads of woodland activities and adventures to throw into the mix at BeWILDerwood Norfolk (half an hour). The coast is just as enticing of course; top spots nearby include Great Yarmouth (25 minutes) for an action-packed day at the beach and amusements, or Winterton-on-Sea (40 minutes) for a quieter wander through the dunes. Heading inland instead, Norwich (25 minutes) has a castle and cathedral, plus lots of indie shops and places to eat. Keeping the kids busy should be a cinch around here, what with the likes of Africa Alive (25 minutes), Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park (half an hour) and Pettitts Animal Adventure Park (35 minutes) to visit. For grownup days, try Chet Valley Vineyard (five minutes), Henstead Exotic Gardens (20 minutes) or Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum (20 minutes).
