  • Family-friendly campsite on a working Snettisham farm in North Norfolk
  • Sandringham Estate 10 minutes’ drive and Holme Beach 15 minutes
  • Farm park and dog paddock on site; village pub 10 minutes’ walk
Set on a traditional family-run farm in rural Norfolk, Snettisham Meadows is on the outskirts of the pretty village of Snettisham and 15 minutes’ drive from North Sea beaches in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Animal-mad campers, form an orderly queue please, as this 329-acre farm has several attractions up its sleeve for you, including meet-and-greets with pigs, pony rides, lamb feeding in spring and deer safaris. There’s also a dog paddock for rent so your four-legged companions can have a frisk around, and an area on the camping field is reserved for guests with dogs. Facilities include a toilet and shower block (with no hot water on weekdays between November and February, excluding the Christmas and New Year period), washing-up sinks with cold water, a small shop at reception for essential supplies and tourist information, USB phone charging and a freezer for ice packs. Campfires and barbecues are permitted, and you can borrow firepits and buy logs for kindling from the site owners. After a fun-filled day exploring this lovely part of Norfolk, come back to your pitch and keep your fingers crossed for clear skies and some serious stargazing. The site is only 10 minutes’ walk from a popular village pub, where you are guaranteed a warm welcome should you fancy a spot of lunch or an evening pint.

What customers say

This is a spacious, well-maintained campsite with clean, modern facilities, praised for its quiet atmosphere and level pitches. Guests appreciated the proximity to Snettisham village, local pubs, and countryside walks. The farm setting and wildlife are highlights. While some noted the need for a motorhome service point and the playground could be improved, the overall experience is highly recommended for its value, peacefulness, and family-friendly environment.

Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Fantastic 2 day New Year break!
Our second visit this year, this time it was very cold and frosty!

Site was very quiet so we could choose our own electric pitch - Number 4 is one we like. Not too far to walk from both reception and shower block.

Nice even ground
Clean toilet block and shower

WiFi worked well.

The site is a short walk to the lovely village of Snettisham. Couple of nice pubs, coop chemist and bus stops.
* Follow the bridal path through the farm to the village rather than walk along the road as there is no footpath for part of the way and take a torch as there are no street lights.

There is a cafe on site that is open at certain times of the year. We had coffee and cake here during our summer visit

Would def recommend this site.

Electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked We stayed over New Year, a lovely site for our first camper trip. Facilities were simple but nice and clean and we had good hot water. I would definitely return and recommend the site. The local Rose and Crown pub is also recommended and is a 10 minute walk - worth booking ahead for a meal. Snettisham beach is also close enough to cycle to.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Nice location in Norfolk, walking distance to the local pub, and the countryside around is lovely.

A quiet campsite with good facilities, and also allows campfires (using the provided firepits) which is very nice.

Overall, a very pleasant visit. Thank you!

Local attractions

If you can drag your youngsters away from the animals on site, they can have a runaround on the climbing frames and soft-play equipment at Farmer Fred’s Adventure Play Barn (five minutes’ drive). Sea Life Hunstanton (10 minutes) is the place for encounters with seals and turtles, while there are dinosaur trails to follow at ROARR! theme park (50 minutes). When it’s time for a day at the seaside, you have several options including Brancaster Beach (20 minutes) for bracing strolls along the dunes to the remains of Branodunum Roman Fort. Backed by rainbow-coloured beach huts, Wells-Next-the-Sea (half an hour) has opportunities for birdwatching, crabbing and paddling in the shallows, and Holme Beach (15 minutes) is a secluded sandy expanse known for its great sunset views. Add a bit of culture into the holiday entertainment with a guided tour of the royal apartments at Sandringham Estate (10 minutes), where you can also walk your canine chums in acres of groomed parkland. Holkham Hall (35 minutes) is another fine mansion with lavishly OTT interiors and formal water gardens, while ornate Blickling Hall (50 minutes) is known for its Jacobean architecture and a priceless book collection in the Long Gallery Library.
