  • Peaceful North Norfolk meadow near West Runton Beach
  • Felbrigg Hall and North Norfolk Railway within 10 minutes' drive
  • Communal kitchen; twice-weekly pizza nights on site; firepit hire
A beach, a steam train, a big country house, an old flint church… they’re all typical attractions of North Norfolk, and they're all within 20 minutes’ drive of Gresham Hall Glamping. Suffice to say this pop-up campsite is in a mighty handy location for sightseers. Set in the sleepy village of Aylmerton, home to the flint St John the Baptist church, the site somehow manages to be five minutes’ drive from the National Trust-owned Felbrigg Hall and 10 minutes from the beach while still remaining somewhat hidden from the area's holiday crowds. It’s also got some very handy facilities, which surely seals the deal. Picnic tables are provided for your outdoor evenings. Firepits are available to hire from Gresham Hall Estate, and wood and charcoal are also for sale. Shacks with hot showers and flushing loos are set up in the camping meadow, and guests have access to a communal fridge and microwave in the outdoor kitchen. Drinking water taps are dotted around the camping field, so you'll never go thirsty here. Twice a week it's pizza night, when tasty pizzas are cooked to order using the freshest ingredients – there is, however, a 10pm campsite curfew, so no late-night pizza parties please.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked A very quiet, well secluded site, within a five minute drive of Cromer. The surrounding fields are idyllic! The bbqs and fire pits are a lovely touch, along with a shed with Electric points, a fridge, kettle and microwave. Hassle free booking and owners were really attentive and easy to get hold of. Will definitely be visiting with my family again very soon

Disliked The only thing, if I was to suggest anything at all, would be to install a few more toilet and shower shacks, in order to prevent queues on the busier weekends.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review Wendy, we're so pleased you had a great stay and enjoyed our site. We'd love to welcome you and your family back again next summer.

Kind regards,

Liked We enjoyed a wonderful two nights at this camping site. We book a nonelectric pitch with a good and clean facilities. With a very hot water in the shower, for me is too hot for summer time. In rest everything was absolutely perfect.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Lovely well maintained site in a beautiful location. Very close to Cromer and Runton but far enough away to be very peaceful and relaxing.
Georgy is a lovely host who has a good balance of keeping the site feeling very relaxed whilst always being contactable if needed.

Disliked A bit too busy for comfort on the Saturday night/Sunday morning, but that's just personal preference. Perfect for the rest of our stay.

Not what I'd call glamping, but great for camping near the coast.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Spacious field, big skys.
Clean loos and hot showers.
Fridges and fire pits.

Disliked Uneven ground with quite a few thistles and nettles.
Not much wood for the firepit.

From the manager: Thank you for your review.
We note that you booked a non-electric grass tent pitch, to bring your own tent to rather than one of our glamping bell tent pitches. These come with beds, wood burning stoves and additional luxuries.
We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and would welcome you back if you would like to try out glamping or camping with us.
We do provide full bags of logs for the fire pits which can be arranged in advance or bought on site.

Kind regards,

Gresham Hall Glamping team

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked This was a nice stay and good price.
Liked that there was a shed that had a fridge and kettle in for people to use.

Disliked Could do with more facilities, toilets and washing station was busy on a morning when everyone is getting up.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Informal nature of the campsite, new shower facilities, recharging station, ease of booking, comprehensive and helpful pre-arrival information.

Disliked Uneven ground with long cut grass lying around, not much level ground. Not a big problem, but not really the 'glamping' experience indicated by the campsite name.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Toilets

Disliked Not really car appropriate as the track to it more suited to farm vehicles. Clear the tree logs from the ground under all the cut grass before you put up ur tent. Preferably face ur tent away from the houses as some old perv loves his big high powered torch.
