  • Adults-only site on a farm two miles from Huntingdon
  • Two miles' walk to village pub for food and beer
  • 45 minutes' drive from college tours and punting in Cambridge
Hunting for a place to stay near Huntingdon? Get along to Glebe Farm Caravan Park, an adults-only two-acre rural site on a working farm in the cracking Cambridgeshire countryside, a couple of miles from Huntingdon and St Ives. Settle in here and you’ll be surrounded by serene cereal fields – the farm’s speciality is growing gluten-free porridge oats. Take a walk on the trails around the park to see where your grub is grown and meet friendly farm horse Sorrel; look under your feet and see if you can spot evidence of the remains of two World War II planes (a Wellington Bomber and a Mosquito) lurking beneath the surface. If you fancy a longer walk, there are plenty of country footpaths around the site; site owner Rebecca’s happy to dole out advice, including pointing you on your way for the two-mile trot to the Crown Inn, a trad pub that serves up tasty meals. There's also a good choice of pubs, restaurants and cafés in Huntingdon, St Ives and in the local villages. Barbecued crocodile for dinner instead? A farm shop a few miles away specialises in unusual choices for your DIY meals, alongside a more traditional range of cheeses, deli produce and meats, and you’re welcome to light up a barbie back at base. As the folks here mainly focus on their farming activities, they’ve kept the facilities to a minimum, just installing a toilet/shower block and setting up a free wifi connection.

What customers say

This is a clean, quiet, and friendly campsite on a working farm, praised for its spacious pitches and helpful owners. Facilities are generally well-maintained, with many highlighting the cleanliness of the toilets and showers. The on-site shop sells farm produce. While some mention farm and traffic noise during weekdays, weekends are quiet. Minor points include occasional issues with gravelly surfaces and dated facilities, with some guests noting the need for more signage. Managers have addressed concerns about old furniture and propane cylinders.

Liked Super clean facilities and excellent information boards. Very quiet, with great walks across fields for the dog.
Friendly reception from Rebecca and Andy. A lucky find for us! Oh- and the little muesli shop - lovely to be able to take home something produced on site.

Disliked Can’t think of anything!

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Quiet friendly site with ehu and wifi included; toilets and showers very clean. Rebecca is most helpful and offers advice for local activities.
Word of guidance, if you are looking to cycle the 'guided bus way', the P&R have height barriers so not m/h friendly. We travelled to Fen Drayton RSPB where both walking and cycling can be enjoyed with the busway also accessible.
Great 4 nights.

Liked Nice quiet very tidy site with flat pitches. The staff who checked is in was very friendly. They even picked up our bag of rubbish we forgot to take to the bin on the first day when we drove off (sorry about that). Toilets were clean and the shower was hot. Entry was all good once you got used to it just don't stand too close when typing in the code.

Disliked Nothing really people have mentioned there sign post was not there but if you use Google maps for the campsite it takes you to exactly the right place.

Local attractions

A couple of miles away is the working 18th-century watermill Houghton Mill and Waterclose Meadows. Once you’ve seen the mill in action, take a canoe trip along the Great Ouse river, or head out for a country walk or cycle ride – you can walk from here to St Ives or Huntingdon, or cycle along safe paths all the way to Cambridge. For a bit more outdoor action, there’s sailing, canoeing and an eight-mile bike trail at Grafham Water (20 minutes’ drive), or fishing at Earith Lakes Fisheries (15 minutes). For alfresco animal antics, head to Hamerton Zoo Park (20 minutes) to explore on foot or ride the little road train. History buffs may like to take a trip to the Cromwell Museum, 10 minutes away in Huntingdon, or a wander around Wimpole Hall (40 minutes away). Ely cathedral is about 35 minutes away by car, and it’ll take you 45 minutes or so to join the clever folks in Cambridge to tour the colleges or punt your way along the River Cam.
