Electric grass pitch

Liked: Great proximity to the lovely town of Upton upon Severn a town that offers so much. A simple site with very clean basic facilities, male and female toilets with hand basin. Elsan disposal and reliable electric hook ups. I've been there before and I'll go there again.

Disliked: The road noise can bother some but only if you take notice of it, it's mainly around the morning and evening rush hours. The steps up to the toilet unit are a little high and could easily be halved in height to vastly improve access.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Location good, site nice and quiet, toilets clean and tidy , ideal for dogs with long walks at hand, right by town, 5 mins walk

Disliked: Sign to enter the field very poor, laminated paper cable tied on the gate, so had to ask in pub over the road if we were in the right place, numbered padlock to get through the gate was a bit of a fiddle, no lighting after dark, you will need torches, thought the price was very expensive as only in a field , portable cabin for toilet, no hot water or showers, no reception or Wi-Fi , did have ehu which was a help but not worth £28 per night

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Plenty of room and space .

Disliked: No shower no hot water , Elson point was a make shift affair with an up turned traffic cone as a funnel and no water hose point for washing out the toilet cassette . At £28 a night with very limited amenities, not very good for the money. Also no staff on site ,just left to your own devices.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Nice flat and level field with a good number of electrical hookups; easy access to the town, with several great pubs within a few minutes walk

Disliked: The facilities are extremely basic; it’s essentially an open field next to a busy road with a mobile toilet trailer.

Local attractions

Upton Upon Severn’s a fab little town – as well as supping in its pubs and browsing in its independent shops, you’ll want to check out the pretty half-timbered buildings and the medieval church affectionately known as the ‘Pepperpot’. Time visits well and you can get stuck into events at the town’s various music festivals. It’s also a handy hub for getting out to see a bit more of that gorgeous Worcestershire countryside: hire boats just across the road to glide along the Severn or hit the Severn Way, a few minutes’ walk away, to ramble or ride bikes by the water’s edge. Go far enough along the river and you’ll eventually hit Tewkesbury (to the south) or Worcester (to the north). If your legs won’t propel you quite so far, drive to the former in 10 minutes or the latter in 20 minutes – both have excellent historic buildings to visit and pretty streets to wander in. Speaking of wanders, it’s worth planning more ambles up in the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, about 10 minutes’ drive away – there’s plenty of choice both for strollers and those seeking something more challenging.
