What customers say
This is a small, peaceful campsite offering beautiful countryside views. Visitors consistently praise the site's cleanliness, friendly owners, and well-maintained facilities, including showers and toilets. While access roads are noted as narrow, the quiet location and spacious pitches are highly valued. Some reviewers mention chilly showers during cooler weather, and a lack of local amenities within easy walking distance, but overall the site is highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

Electric hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked Lovely views and a decent sized, level pitch. Although the site was basic, toilets were new and pristine and the site as a whole was tidy. Owner Tom was very welcoming and texted us accurate directions. Good for dogs. There are a couple of nice places to eat & drink locally (but only if you fancy a bit of a walk or a drive).
Disliked Showers weren't available. A bit muddy in places but it was early March after a very wet winter so not exactly the campsite's fault.

From the manager: Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re really pleased you enjoyed the lovely views and found the pitch a good size and level. It’s great to hear that the new toilets and the overall tidiness of the site stood out during your stay.
Thank you as well for your kind words about the welcome and directions — we always try to make arrival as easy as possible. We’re glad your dog enjoyed the visit too!
You’re absolutely right that early March, especially after such a wet winter, can leave a few muddy patches, but we appreciate your understanding. The showers are something we’re working on and hope to have available in the future.
We hope to welcome you back again when the ground is a little drier!

Liked Views. Peace and quiet. Clean and tidy. Birds and nature. Clean facilities. Communication from owner, knew all we needed to know in advance. Walk to the pub.
We're fully self sufficient so didn't need to use the showers but they do look a bit chilly. Not putting as a dislike however as was fully aware of this before booking.
A very quiet site with just a handful of pitches, probably more populated in the summer.

From the manager: Hello Ali, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We’re really pleased you enjoyed the peace, views, and natural surroundings – it’s exactly what we aim to offer here.
Great to hear the communication and advance information were helpful, and that you found the site clean and tidy. Being within walking distance of the pub is always a bonus too!
Thank you for your understanding regarding the showers, and we appreciate you mentioning that you were aware of this before booking. They are gas heated so the water is lovely and warm....
We’d love to welcome you back again in the future, whether in the quieter months or during the busier summer season.
