  • Tourer park at Kenilworth Rugby Club, 10 minutes’ drive from the M40
  • Kenilworth Castle five minutes’ drive; Stratford-upon-Avon 20 minutes
  • Family-friendly on-site bar; within walking distance of supermarkets
Regardless of whether you’re looking to overnight close to Junction 15 of the M40 (10 minutes’ drive away) as part of an onward journey, or wanting to bed down with your rugby-mad family to catch a Saturday match in season, you’ll receive a warm welcome at Kenilworth Rugby Club. This family-friendly tourer park (with hardstanding pitches right behind the goal posts) has toilets in the club house for camping guests to use. It’s near the centre of town, and within walking distance of major supermarkets for stocking up. There is also a welcoming restaurant-bar on site, run by the clubhouse manager Nigel, which can prepare simple meals (including takeaway options) subject to availability. The local area is full of wonderful ways to pass your days: follow historic trails around Kenilworth Castle, or investigate the old-world pubs and restaurants along the lively High Street and Castle Hill. There’s also an abundance of walks, footpaths and cycle routes straight from the pitches – just ask club staff for their suggestions.

What customers say

This site is a basic overnight stopover, praised for its quiet location and convenient access to Kenilworth town and local attractions. Positives include secure entry via a barrier system and friendly clubhouse staff. However, many visitors found the facilities basic, with issues regarding the cleanliness and availability of toilets and showers, and the height barrier access was frequently highlighted as awkward and potentially hazardous, especially for solo travellers or those with mobility issues. The price was also frequently cited as being too high for the limited amenities offered.

Non-electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked Quiet, not far into town. Toilet onsite but nothing else. Perfect for what we needed.
Good food options in Kenilworth, only 10 minutes to Stoneleigh.

Disliked Shorter people might have trouble shifting the height barrier !! A broomstick resting in the hedge might be useful ?

Non-electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked There was nothing I liked about this site.

Disliked The hard standing we had to use was next to a piece of clubs waste ground very untidy and overgrown. As if this not unpleasant enough 2 small builders van turned up with 3 males and fly tipped their building waste into over grown area the vans where small enough to drive under barrier. I have photos and videos footage one dumped sack had name and address on invoices for purchased materials . The encounter felt very uncomfortable and threatening luckily it was day light . I did not confront the males for this reason. Will not use again or recommend. Bar meals not available the website said they were this was main reason for choosing after long drive .

Non-electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked Location was good to get into Kenilworth

Disliked Toilet the far side of the rugby pitch to the camping, along the top of a steep hill, uneven steps and trip hazards in the dark.
Nowhere to wash up or ELSAN point.
A man came at 8.30am to ask when we were leaving despite being able to stay until mid morning.
Very expensive at £20 a night for no facilities

Non-electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked Nothing

Disliked Had to call repeatedly to get the code to get in.
Awful dusty surface to park on with rubbish and containers next to it.
One toilet for everyone, sink not attached to the wall and roof falling in.
No tap to fill water containers, no waste disposal, nowhere to wash up. No hot water.
For £20 a night was very expensive for nothing.
AVOID!!

Liked Quiet when training had finished

Disliked The safe box for the key to the entrance barrier was very high and the numbers unlit.
Staff did nothing other than give information on the phone about the barrier and where to park. No information was given about location of water etcetera.
