What customers say
Pitches are frequently described as spacious, flat, and private due to hedges. Guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, friendly staff, and the convenience of an on-site cafe and shop. The fishing lakes are a significant draw, with many enjoying the sport and the natural surroundings. However, a recurring concern is the condition and cleanliness of toilet and shower facilities, with reports of them being unclean, lacking toilet paper, and having maintenance issues like broken showers or insufficient hooks. Some visitors noted noise from other groups, and a few felt the site lacked character or had overgrown areas.

The site could be outstanding if it was just managed properly
Electric grass pitch
Liked The lakes and walks
Flat pitches
You can get your tent pegs in
Disliked Poor field maintenance.
Grass was long
Hedges all overgrown
Hard to get plugged into electrics at the pitches on the edges nettles were surrounding the electric hook up points
One sink to wash your dishes in for a massive site .. and it was always a mess as the taps were rubbish
Two showers with out of order sign on during our visit
No toilet paper left in any of the toilets
Sinks in the toilets were tiny you could have a proper wash in them.
Shower stayed on for c about 10 seconds .
Light switched off whilst I was mid shower.
Only appeared to become member of staff Charlotte running the whole site
No security for v coming in and out of site anyone can just drive on and pitch up.
Only one fresh water point on the whole site
Drive into the site needs weed spray

Huge pitches but toilets and showers let the site down
Electric grass pitch
Liked We stayed here and loved our stay but there is a however…. .
I requested a pitch and they did all they could to accommodate - thank you!
Very spacious pitches
Little on site cafe and shop selling drinks and ice cream
Lovely walk around the lakes
Disliked The grass had been cut but was not collected so we ended up with lots of grass in the tent - not a biggy but definitely annoying.
Toilets and shower block - communal and constantly filthy.
Water - one tap near reception
Only one washing up sink so always queuing
No WiFi

Electric grass pitch
Liked The pitch was clean and litter free, large pitches and enough room to still play if you have little ones. Staff were lovely and the shop very handy. Facilities always clean and tidy. Was an all around lovely place with great views of the lakes.

Dick shepherd's hut (four person)
Liked Friendly staff
Had a request for an extra duvet and they provided it.
Lakes bailiff’s a nice bloke.
The facilities were clean and well kept.
Quiet place.
Lakes have decent size carp in them.
Shop is selling baits for fishing and a few other things like crisps, drinks and ice cream.
Prices for the cafe are decent. You can have food and drinks there.
Disliked Not enough action on the bigger lake when float fishing. I was expecting more bites from small-medium fish to have some fun in between the carp catching.
I didn’t see anything related to wi-fi connectivity and to be honest we didn’t even ask. Too busy fishing…

Really nice spacious, quiet location with decent fishing.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Spacious pitches with plenty of room for caravan, car, awning and anything else that's needed. Facilities such as shower blocks, toilets, waste disposal, reception etc all within a few minutes walk. Hook ups in good condition and no problems with dipping or spiking electric. Water point located near reception already fitted with hose and tap connector which was a bonus. Nice sized fishing lakes with evidence of improvements being made. Husband told me fishing was decent although he didnt catch much! Small onsite shop selling some tackle and bait although he had bought his with him. Location great, 15/20 minute walk into the nearby village with a couple of pubs and a 15 min drive to Nuneaton with a variety of shops.Would 100% return.
Disliked Small, minor things which didn't affect our stay in any way. 1) Road from main road to reception is paved but very rickety. 2) info given about elsan point, location of facilities etc was very limited. We had to ask around for where to dispose of grey water and where the CDP was.

Liked Spacious pitches, very quiet, no issues, good facilities and great hosts.
Disliked Very dark during the night so maybe some lighting leading from pitches area towards the bathroom shower facilities but that’s not a major issue.
