Positiv Only stayed one night as a stopover to somewhere else, nice and quiet, beautiful lakes. Nice clean, mixed, showers/toilets. Small cafe/reception with inside and outside seating areas. Only opened until 4pm though.

Negativ Wanted to walk to Wolsey village which Pitch Up said was a 10 minute walk. Apparently it was more like 35/40 minutes walk along a main road with no paths. So unfortunately we didn't venture from the campsite.

Positiv We had such a lovely weekend at this campsite! We stayed as a group of five families, all with children and dogs, and it was perfect for what we needed.
The location was great, with plenty to do for everyone. Those who enjoy fishing had a great time and even managed to catch some small fish. The facilities were excellent – the showers and toilets were clean and there were plenty available, which made a big difference with a large group.
The nearby village is within walking distance and has some lovely pubs, and we especially enjoyed the walks through the surrounding fields – really peaceful and scenic.
Overall, it was exactly what we were looking for – relaxing, family-friendly, and well looked after. We would definitely recommend it and hope to come back again!

Positiv Terrible experience

We booked and turned up on the Friday daytime to be met by a marquee set up the other side of the lake
Playing loud bassy music

I tried to gish with my children but the noise of the music coming from the marquee made the experience not a relaxing one.

I went to the cafe and asked the staff when the music would be turning down or off
To wich the staff member said she would find out.

We went to our pitch and got set for the evening of camping
But for the music to still be very loud and bassy
And the staff member didn't come to infirm us

It got to 9pm and the music was now even louder and the cafe at the front of site had locked up and gone home...
The number that it said to ring on the door didn't answer 😕

I walked up to the marquee to ask when the music would stop to wich I was informed it would be 12:30am

Not good at all especially with the fact that I had my children with me and we had to be up the next day at 7am for an important sports event

The whole experience was a terrible one and we was kept awake until 1am with the music and noise from the marquee

Terrible customer service
As they didn't seem to care and we also wasn't informed of the music/event in the marquee would be on when we was staying on site

Flat pitches
You can get your tent pegs in

Negativ Poor field maintenance.
Grass was long
Hedges all overgrown
Hard to get plugged into electrics at the pitches on the edges nettles were surrounding the electric hook up points
One sink to wash your dishes in for a massive site .. and it was always a mess as the taps were rubbish
Two showers with out of order sign on during our visit
No toilet paper left in any of the toilets
Sinks in the toilets were tiny you could have a proper wash in them.
Shower stayed on for c about 10 seconds .
Light switched off whilst I was mid shower.
Only appeared to become member of staff Charlotte running the whole site
No security for v coming in and out of site anyone can just drive on and pitch up.
Only one fresh water point on the whole site
Drive into the site needs weed spray

Positiv We stayed here and loved our stay but there is a however…. .
I requested a pitch and they did all they could to accommodate - thank you!
Very spacious pitches
Little on site cafe and shop selling drinks and ice cream
Lovely walk around the lakes

Negativ The grass had been cut but was not collected so we ended up with lots of grass in the tent - not a biggy but definitely annoying.
Toilets and shower block - communal and constantly filthy.
Water - one tap near reception
Only one washing up sink so always queuing
No WiFi

Positiv The pitch was clean and litter free, large pitches and enough room to still play if you have little ones. Staff were lovely and the shop very handy. Facilities always clean and tidy. Was an all around lovely place with great views of the lakes.
