  • Small and peaceful caravan and camping site
  • With a dedicated adults-only area

A warm and friendly welcome awaits you to this small level site set in peaceful rural Shropshire, nestled within the surrounding hills, and less than 10 minutes from the beautiful medieval market town of Shrewsbury, which boasts over 600 listed buildings, Britain's third tallest church spire and the world's first skyscraper.

"Cartref", translated from Welsh to English quite simply means home. Whilst here, the owners wish for you all to feel in a relaxed home from home environment. There are a toilet and shower block with access for disabled, baby changing facilities, washing-up area and a laundry. There is a quirky on-site shop selling local fresh produce including bacon and sausages, eggs from the resident hens, and various home-grown and local produce.

The experienced staff will be always at hand to help their fellow campers and spend time with those who are new to caravanning, whether it is helping to set up for the first time or gentle words of encouragement on pitching up, Cartref is ideal for your first time caravan or camping experience.

Within the site's five-acre field is a small children's play park including football nets where they are able to ride their bikes too. Friendly dogs are welcome on leads and with a dog walk around the field, there's plenty of room to stretch their legs. There is also a separate area dedicated for adults only.
