Liked Large private pitches with screen hedges, friendly staff, bar for socials, food truck on site run by Steve who was very kind to cook me a special Sunday dinner!

Liked Welcoming staff. Great food and drink at the bar. Large pitch. Immaculate showers and toilets

Disliked Very minor but the dividers between the showers could do with being lower as water splashes through from the next cubicle, which when you’re almost dry is a bit inconvenient.

Liked The site is superbly maintained,good shower and toilet facilities,with good size pitches with electric and water hook ups.
The staff do an outstanding job, multitasking on the site,one minute their showing you to your pitch,the next their pulling you a pint.
The bar is very cosy,with ample seating indoors and out,and a little shop provided too.
Must say a very quite and relaxing place.

Disliked We felt that it was a very sort of dog orientated site,although all dogs were well behaved and owners adhered to the rules and regulations of the site,being a mature couple on our own,at times we struggled to chat to people.

Shropshire's splendid capital of Shrewsbury is around five miles from Cartref Camping and Caravan Site. Guided tours, afternoon teas and wines are available at Wroxeter Roman Vineyard. The Industrial Revolution site of Ironbridge half an hour's drive away is another top Shropshire attraction, or you could sample some fine dining or afternoon teas in the foodie town of Ludlow. Ellesmere, with its glacial meres created during the last Ice Age, also has a bowling green at the ruins of its 11th-century motte-and-bailey castle.
