What customers say
This adults-only campsite is praised for its beautiful, tranquil setting by Colemere lake, offering direct access to lovely walks and local attractions. Guests appreciate the spacious, well-maintained pitches and the thoughtful communal facilities, including a social hub with kitchen amenities. The owners are consistently described as friendly, helpful, and accommodating. While the site is generally very clean, some mention that the shower and toilet facilities could benefit from updating, and WiFi signal can be intermittent. The natural surroundings and abundant wildlife are a significant draw.

From the manager: Thanks for booking, however we would like to clarify some of the information in your review is not accurate .
We are not a uniformed site and have many flat pitches spread out over the site, enabling guests a choice for space, freedom and quietness.
We are always happy to help and if guests want to move they can subject to availably.

Enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.
Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked There are a lot of positives about this site and we enjoyed our 2 night stay . The electric pitches look flat and are thoughtfully laid out close to the toilets and communal buildings. These over look a well kept grass area , with benches and small pond. Communal building(log cabin feel) is a nice touch by the owners, with coffee and microwave available plus information about the surrounding area. The non electric pitches are on the next field. Although this area is fairly uneven it is possible to find some flat surfaces and privacy. You will be located further from the toilets so have this in mind if you have no facilities in your own set up.
The site is next to a large lake which takes around 40 minutes to walk around and the path is fairly flat. Ellesmere can be reached by walking along the canal and takes 45-50 mins. ( obviously you can also drive). Highly recommend you do this if you like walking. Ellesmere is a nice town to visit and very close to the mere
Disliked This will be a minor point for some but the washing up station is right outside the toilet block and we felt very privacy of using the loo was an issue at times. This shouldn’t put you off though, as I’ve written above there are so many plus points

Liked Loved this site, gorgeous location with beautiful walks. Site was perfectly maintained and a pleasure to stay in. Facilities were perfect! Particularly loved The Cabin was a fantastic shared space with internet and a kettle to make a morning cuppa. Only stayed one night on our way through to Pembrokeshire but would certainly visit again.
