Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Adults only, good vibes and enjoyed the musician that came in the Saturday night.
Disliked A little uneven in places but can’t really be helped due to the lay of the land. Need to be there early to get the flat pitches

A beautiful setting, drastic need for more water and toilet facilities
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The bathrooms were clean, and the bar was really cosy (when you could get in there). The walks from site are lovely, and the lady selling local honey on Saturday afternoon was a lovely touch.
There are plenty of bins all across the site which is great.
Disliked The check-in experience wasn't great: the owners are quite brash - one of my friends was even told off because she arrived 5 minutes before the end of check in times.
The owners spent the evening that we had arrived with regulars in the bar area - it felt like you were interrupting when going in to heat food; wasn't welcoming unfortunately.
There are few flat pitches, and the ground is incredibly rocky (all of my metal pegs are bent - only rock pegs worked)
There's no toilet or water facilities etc in the fields where you can pitch if you didn't book electric. It's about a 7/8 minute, quite steep walk to get to them, which is tricky when it's hot.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely relaxing place . Dave and Ingrid were lovely people very helpful. Ingrid was constantly back and forth cleaning toilets and shower blocks so the facilities were always clean which counts for a lot as we have been to some awful places .
Disliked Nothing to dislike about this place to be honest .

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked What a fabulous campsite. Being in Nature. The Toilet and showers always an important part of camping. The communal area was very nice the dog absolutely loved it. Loved all the Bunnies. The lights at night were just gorgeous. The peace and quiet was 10 out of 10 . If you love nature peace and quiet then this is for you. Can't wait to book again with my new Tent . Xxx

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked This was the best camping trip we had. The toilet and shower blocks were regularly cleaned. There was a little hut that had a tv, WiFi, sink, fridge and a place to eat and relax. The owners were lovely too and very helpful. I will 100% be returning.

What customers say
This adults-only campsite is praised for its beautiful, tranquil setting by Colemere lake, offering direct access to lovely walks and local attractions. Guests appreciate the spacious, well-maintained pitches and the thoughtful communal facilities, including a social hub with kitchen amenities. The owners are consistently described as friendly, helpful, and accommodating. While the site is generally very clean, some mention that the shower and toilet facilities could benefit from updating, and WiFi signal can be intermittent. The natural surroundings and abundant wildlife are a significant draw.

Highly recommend - quiet, beautiful, thoughtful touches
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Gorgeous setting, fabulous barn with really lovely touches - where campers can gather, play games, watch TV, get out of the rain and even make a cuppa. Such a lovely idea. And the thoughtfulness continued into the showers and toilets where there were lovely products and essentials for people to use. Super clean and beautifully maintained in a lovely area.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Yes the grounds were beautiful with ponds, seating areas
Even sunloungers and a cute cabin with WiFi, a big table and comfortable old leather sofas
The walks from the site were lovely with a big lake right on the doorstep
Disliked The showers were old, dirty and cramped with saloon doors which I didn't feel offered 100% privacy
You can only get WiFi from the cabin
WiFi signal is very poor
Could do with having a roof on the outdoor sink area

From the manager: Hello Tee
Thanks for your review ! We do feel that your take on the showers & toilet doors , is out of kilter with other reviews ! They are regularly leaned throughout the day. As regards to the door privacy,
we have a very well ventilated layout that doesn’t have an exit door. This means that toilet plumes (Aerosolization ) clear very quickly ! It is also a fact that exit toilet door handles ( which we don’t have ) have been proven to be contaminated with Enteric Bacteria ! Some pathogenic & some pathogenic viruses such as Rotavirus , Norovirus etc …. We just wonder iin your review if you are getting mixed up with the beneficial harmless outdoor microbes & the pathogenic microbes you tend to get in closed in high numbers environment?
Wifi provided is an additional add on but as we are based in a rural location, signal strength can vary and cannot be guaranteed throughout the site. Regarding our washing-up area we appreciate the suggestion of providing a roof and will consider this as part of future improvements .
We welcome constructive feedback but feel it is important that reviews fairly reflect the nature and facilities of the site.

Electric grass campervan pitch
Liked This was a gem of a site as far as we were concerned. Beautiful landscaped pitches, wildlife all around, and a beautiful lake walk some 20 meters from our pitch. Everything was quirky and beautifully put together. Thought the communal hub was a great idea and would be great if it was raining or you didn’t feel like just staying in your camper. Weather was good when we visited which is always good but will definitely book again to experience all seasons.
