What customers say
This adults-only campsite offers a peaceful rural escape with stunning views and abundant wildlife. Visitors praise the spacious, well-maintained pitches, clean facilities, and the welcoming, helpful hosts, Dave and Ingrid. Direct access to beautiful walks around the mere and canal, a cosy communal area, and a relaxed atmosphere are frequently highlighted. While most found no faults, some noted narrow access roads, occasional issues with pitch levelling, and Wi-Fi coverage limitations. Hot tub hire and fire pit availability were appreciated extras.

Jacob's shepherd's hut
Liked It was a beautiful place, lots of info from the host.
Helpful hosts, the Nordic hot tub was nice.
Disliked I did request something special for my partners birthday. The door was broken so didn’t shut properly. I had to ask for another electric heater, when the lady came to bring it she seemed really annoyed and said it wasn’t even cold? Which was annoying, made me feel like a moron for asking nicely to be warm overnight when it was 8 degrees outside. Tv didn’t work, no signal at all.

From the manager: Thanks for your review !
Normally the Glamping units are all pre heated ready for when guests arrive ! As I explained on this occasion I thought it was rather warm & didn't need it ! We did bring an extra heater over straight away , but from what I could see you hadn't actually used it ? Bit confused about the broken door as I've just thoroughly checked it & It's fine ? I do apologise for the poor signal , as someone had interfered with the areal !
Many thanks

Great find!!
Jacob's shepherd's hut
Liked Loved the place, super clean, the Shepherd's hut super cute and neat. The outside areas all landscaped and green, really nice set up, communal room was quirky and with country motived decorations. Accesses are rather easy, and has fairly close restaurants and cafes etc..we were fortunate to have a magnificent night sky we watched from the porch. Really neat! Absolutely worth the visit..
Disliked Not a dislike so much but the price could include logs, or/and bedding.. Could have some comfort biscuits and coffees..bathroom way too far.. 😬😬😬Little things over the big picture.

From the manager: Thank you for booking with us, we do supply tea and coffee making facilities in each unit. The toilets are about 100 meters away and due to our planning regulations and the surrounding area which is under conservation we are not permitted to have toilets/showers in any other field.
Many thanks
