What customers say
This is a highly-rated, back-to-basics campsite offering vast open space and beautiful countryside views. Visitors praise its peaceful atmosphere, ideal for relaxation and connecting with nature. The site is well-located for walking and cycling, with direct access to the Ridgeway. While facilities are basic (portaloos and cold showers), they are generally described as clean and well-maintained. Fire pits are available to hire. Some minor points raised include the exposed nature of the site in windy conditions and occasional issues with the upkeep of portaloos during busy periods, which the management has addressed.

From the manager: Hi Gareth, thanks for the great review. It's a great place for birdwatchers with the kites, kestrels, blackbirds, various finches, lost pheasants and many other small hedgerow nesters.

Liked big empty field. on the ridgeway so great for walks. Facilities were basic but clean.
Disliked Expensive for a back to basics site.
