  • Quiet secluded site close to Bicester
  • The closest site to Bicester Heritage (two miles)
  • Fishing lakes on site
What an excellent Oxfordshire site this is for anglers. And walkers. And quiet English countryside appreciators. For friendly and well-maintained Glebe Leisure Park is in a cracking countryside location on the edges of Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire as well as Oxfordshire and has two fishing lakes on site as well as lots of trails all around. Dogs – and their owners – like this place too, as there are long walks and gravelled pathways with dog waste bins set at handy locations, and it's mighty like too that cyclists will like the gentle and short pedal along to local town Bicester... Any amenities you might need are sorted here, such as a loo and shower block with info room about the surrounding area, a toilet and shower facilities for disabled guests, a chemical disposal point, drinking water outlets and a car park.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Park was lovely and we loved our pitch set out of the way. Facilies were small but clean and perfect for the site size

Disliked Unfortunately neighbours ruined our stay. Not much the site could have done about that I don't think but as a young family being pitched next to a large group of "lads" who continuously smoked cannabis through the entire weekend really put a damper on our trip. Having to explain to them what the funny smell was etc.

Camping pod (four person)

Liked The lady at the reception was really friendly and helpful in pointing out everything. Loved the Cherry pod, neat and clean with enough space to fit our double and single camp cots! The grounds near the pods were family friendly, without being overly noisy. The toilets and showers were clean and even the toilet block was virtually cobweb free unlike a lot of campgrounds.
The fish were literally jumping in the pond so very well stocked. The system to take a ticket is also very seamless and we had a smashing time. Overall 5 star stay and would definitely love to return!

Camping pod (four person)

Liked Very convenient for on route to Wales. The woman on reception was very friendly and helpful. Good showers, none of that having to push a button every 5 seconds. There's a great pub, The Butcher's Arms just a 30 minute walkaway.... very friendly staff and good food.

Disliked The door lock on Willow is a little awkward, you have to not put the key in all the way. Took a few minutes to work it out. With the excessive heat we've been getting and which we're told will become more frequent, these pods need more ventilation. I left the doors open but had to shut them as I spotted an animal on the porch, fox or cat, in the middle of the night thinking about coming into the pod.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Enjoyed how quiet it was, the space of the pitch was ample. The toilets and showers were spotless and smelt good. Overall very happy and would come again.

Disliked The only thing I could see that needed attention was the barrel you were ment to dip your nets in before you fished.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Very friendly and helpful. Large pitches and good facilities. Loved the fact that they sell cheap ice lollies for the children.

Local attractions

Plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés are in Glebe Leisure's local town of Bicester within a couple of miles, and designer clothes and accessories in the outlet shopping centre Bicester Village. Glebe is the closest site to Bicester Heritage, the first park in the UK for the tender loving restoration care of classic and vintage cars, motorbikes and planes, all on over 345 acres of an old RAF bomber station. The centre's been described as 'a historic motoring fan's idea of heaven' so do speed along there if old engines make your motor hum. Twelve miles from the site is simply smashing Blenheim Palace, given to the first Duke of Marlborough by Charlie 2 and handed down through the Churchill family to reach one Winston some decades back. You really should have a trip... Also within 12 miles are another few British institutions: the dizzying array of arty treasures at the National Trust's Waddesdon Manor; Broughton Castle at Banbury, and days out spectating fast types at Silverstone Circuit.
