  • Quiet secluded site close to Bicester
  • The closest site to Bicester Heritage (two miles)
  • Fishing lakes on site
What an excellent Oxfordshire site this is for anglers. And walkers. And quiet English countryside appreciators. For friendly and well-maintained Glebe Leisure Park is in a cracking countryside location on the edges of Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire as well as Oxfordshire and has two fishing lakes on site as well as lots of trails all around. Dogs – and their owners – like this place too, as there are long walks and gravelled pathways with dog waste bins set at handy locations, and it's mighty like too that cyclists will like the gentle and short pedal along to local town Bicester... Any amenities you might need are sorted here, such as a loo and shower block with info room about the surrounding area, a toilet and shower facilities for disabled guests, a chemical disposal point, drinking water outlets and a car park.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked The location, very nice reception!
We mainly came for the fishing so we were very pleasantly surprised by such well stocked lakes and the ease of fishing here.
It was a small campsite and we felt at home immediately.
The pitch was also very big so plenty of space (didn’t bring a car).
Toilets and showers very clean.

Disliked Late night noise from other campers but that isn’t campsite’s fault.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked Quiet

Disliked Supposed to be a fully serviced pitch ???
Water electric and drain were at end of the next pitch ok I have 25 mtr electric cable and luckily extra water pipe to extend it but not 20+ mtrs of waste pipe 🤷‍♂️ whole idea of booking a fully serviced pitch is so I don’t have the hassle of pulling out the waste hog and having to empty it each day so pitches 31 33 & 35 are not fully serviced
Site was plagued by wasps during our visit and we were unable to sit outside we we there 6 nights neither could anyone else along the serviced touring pitches a few stung on the grass pitches behind us
Toilets and showers clean and fine
A basic site good for a stop over
lovely pub in Fringford the Butchers Arms quite a walk to get to it tho

Camping pod (family, six person)

Liked Stunning beautiful site with tent pitches, touring caravans & pods. Lovely family atmosphere! Great facilities, including ice creams for sale from the freezer. A wonderful fishing lake for a quiet stroll and a small wood for Doggy walks. Absolutely love this place and come back every year! Friendly, helpful staff make this site the perfect destination for a weekend or more.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Size of the pitch and my partner loves the fishing

Disliked Website and email stated to leave at 12 but we were asked what time we were leaving by the next visitor and then a lady who works there drove over trying to usher us and a neighbour off saying we were meant to be gone by 11am

Local attractions

Plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés are in Glebe Leisure's local town of Bicester within a couple of miles, and designer clothes and accessories in the outlet shopping centre Bicester Village. Glebe is the closest site to Bicester Heritage, the first park in the UK for the tender loving restoration care of classic and vintage cars, motorbikes and planes, all on over 345 acres of an old RAF bomber station. The centre's been described as 'a historic motoring fan's idea of heaven' so do speed along there if old engines make your motor hum. Twelve miles from the site is simply smashing Blenheim Palace, given to the first Duke of Marlborough by Charlie 2 and handed down through the Churchill family to reach one Winston some decades back. You really should have a trip... Also within 12 miles are another few British institutions: the dizzying array of arty treasures at the National Trust's Waddesdon Manor; Broughton Castle at Banbury, and days out spectating fast types at Silverstone Circuit.
