What customers say

Sherwood Pines offers a beautiful, clean and well-organised campsite immersed in woodland, ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors praise the excellent, spotless facilities, spacious pitches, and the friendly, helpful staff. Direct access to forest walks, cycling trails, and nearby activities like Go Ape are highlights. While some found the site busy and occasionally noisy, especially during peak times, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Liked What a lovely site Sherwood Pines is!
Staff from arrival were happy and helpful.
The walks were unbelievable for the dog and us.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked The location to the forest and bike trails.
Welcoming staff when you arrive. Site is essentially in 2 half's, playground on 1 side so if you have kids pick that side, but the others ideas isn't far either just not in eyesight. Facilities very clean.

Disliked Nothing really

Local attractions

Want to explore the forest on two wheels? You won’t need to fret about securing a bicycle rack to your precious car, as Sherwood Pines Cycles (10 minutes’ walk) is right within striking distance. Go Ape Sherwood (10 minutes) is also within walking distance, making it easy to go from lounging on the pitch to gliding down a zipwire and gazing through the leaf canopies. If you’d rather spend your time batting golf balls with gusto, try the Sherwood Forest Golf Club (10 minutes) instead. For one of the area’s most legendary sights, head to The Major Oak (10 minutes’ drive), an ancient tree rumoured to be connected to the legendary Robin Hood. If you still have plenty of energy to expend on some challenging activities, the Adrenalin Jungle Activity Centre (25 minutes) runs activities such as assault courses and paintballing. Finally, should you feel like pausing the activities to take in some important history, The National Holocaust Centre and Museum (20 minutes) is not too far away either.
