Primitive grass campsite
Liked Fantastic facilities. Great playpark on the site for the kids but also a short and accessible walk to the visitor centre. Friendly staff at check in and a well stocked reasonably priced on site shop. Despite being local, we will definitely be back!

A great stay in the hot summer of 2026.
Powered grass campsite
Liked Excellent camp site. Very clean facilities. Helpful staff on reception. Shop had basic goods as there was a vending machine for treats and drinks. All guests seemed respectful or each others space. We had an electric grass pitch for 3 days and had a great time. We have 2 small children and it was great for them to some exploring rather than looking at screens in the holidays. The main Sherwood Forest visitors is easy to get to too. A benefit is we got to choose our pitch. It did have free wifi but we did struggle a little it still so I wouldn’t rely on it.
Disliked I would suggest not being too close to the play area if you want it just a little quieter.

Good sute, could be a bit sharper on cleaning for the price.
Powered gravel and cement/asphalt campsite
Liked Great friendly staff well laid out campsite, great facilities including 2 waste points, bike washing, coffee vending and sweet vending. Ample camping services including poaching, laundry, duplicate facilities so no closure for cleaning, plus many more. The shop was well stocked and the whole site was very child friendly.
Disliked There was litter around our plot from previous occupants that wasn’t cleaned up for the 2 days we were there. The facilities could have been kept cleaner- maybe leave mops and cleaning equipment for customers to clean down the showers, like they do in the CAMC sites. Each time
I used the shower I had to get dressed out of the cubicle as the floor was wet from the previous person. Each time I used the toilet I had to clean up urine from the floor, it’s not the end of the world but when I’m paiyng a premium price (over £60 per night ) was I would expect a little more more. I’ve stayed in less expensive places with cleaner facilities.
