  • Full-facility campsite in historic Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire
  • Go Ape Sherwood 10 minutes’ walk; The Major Oak 10 minutes’ drive
  • Woodland site with direct access to cycling trails and forest walks
Set on the edge of Sherwood Forest – known the world over for its links with the mythical Robin Hood and his Merry Band of Men – Sherwood Pines has a mixture of camping accommodation spread across 40 acres of gorgeous ancient woodland. Open all year, the site makes an excellent base from which to explore the forest and its numerous hiking and cycling routes direct from the pitches. It’s within walking distance of many activities provided by Forestry England, including adventure playgrounds, Go Ape Sherwood and bike hire, as well as shady picnic spots and a schedule of open-air concerts held throughout the year. Sherwood Pines is a full-facility site, suitable for all forms of glamping and camping with all-weather pitches and electric hook-ups. Plenty of useful amenities are available too, including heated lockers for backpackers, a dog wash for four-legged guests, a secure bike station for cyclists and a motorhome service point. In summer, there are many fun family activities taking place on site, with mobile pizza or fish and chips vans most weekends, along with a fresh coffee machine and a small shop in reception.
