Hard-standing pitch with plenty of space around it

  • Small family-run site among five acres of green Lincs countryside
  • Sutton on Sea and Huttoft beach five minutes' drive
  • Next to a riding centre and 25 minutes' drive from Skegness
Well, now, this is an excellent little place. Small, friendly and family-run, South Farm Caravan Park is a touring site set deep in the Lincolnshire countryside, a five-minute drive from colourful Sutton on Sea, 10 minutes from Mablethorpe and 25 minutes from Skegness. Families, couples and solo travellers are all welcome here, and dogs would likely give the farm an approving woof too: many walks are nearby along the countryside lanes and fields, and the walks – and bike rides – of the Lincolnshire Wolds are very close by. The closest beach, Huttoft or Moggs Eye, has miles of dog-friendly sands for the pooch to let loose. If you think the kids would like to canter, riding lessons and a pony club are at the equestrian centre next door to the farm. Facilities at the farm include clean toilets and showers (these are based away from the pitches and require a walk) and a washing-up area. There's a small tea room (open every day during the school holidays only) and a games room.

  • Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
  • Rental accommodation: Electricity is metered on site at £0.25 per kWh via a coin-operated meter in place. The meters accept £1 and £2 coins only. Guests with touring vehicles will be asked to use their own toilet and shower facilities. The toilet/shower facilities are a few minutes' walk from the camping area, so may not be suitable for guests with mobility difficulties. A charge of £0.50 per 5 minutes applies for use of the shower. Please note that renovation works are currently taking place on site, but the pitches and facilities are not affected. The café is open daily from 9.30am to 7pm.

What customers say

This is a friendly, family-run site with spacious, level pitches, located a short walk or drive from the beach and local amenities. Visitors praise the welcoming staff, on-site cafe, and entertainment options for children, including bouncy castles. While generally clean, some facilities, such as the toilet block, are noted as dated and a walk from pitches. Shower use incurs a small fee. Overall, it's considered good value and a relaxing base for exploring the coast.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Really lovely camping site. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Cafe on site is really good and it’s so lovely to see and hear about all they put on for children.

Disliked Didn’t dislike anything. Do think another set of loos and showers near the top would be so good.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked My son and myself really enjoyed our 3 night stay here with a non electric tent pitch. The site wardens were extremely friendly and helpful, Pitch was a very good size, facilities were clean, a nice on site cafe with great service and the extra addition of the soft play, bouncy castle area was a huge surprise as it was included in the pitch price! Will definitely be returning again in the future. Thanks For the great stay!

Disliked The only thing I slightly disliked was that we were pitched at the furthest point of the site from the toilet/shower block which was around a 5 min walk away. Which for us was fine for showers but my son is well versed in ‘holding it’ until the last minute which made some interesting moments during the middle of the night.would be amazing to add a small toilet block to the top end of the site if possible

From the manager: Hi, thank you for staying with us.

Thank you for the feedback back, we have tried to install a toilet block at the top of the site but unfortunately we can’t get enough water pressure up there for the toilets to be able to flush properly, we have only just managed to get enough pressure up there for the water points for drinking water, any more added to this and we wouldn’t get any pressure up there at all.

Lots more bookings will create some money for us to hopefully improve this issue in the near future so anyone you know wanting a camping trip away please send them our way:)

Electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely site, the team were all so friendly and welcoming. Little info pack on arrival gives all the details you need to know about the site and things in the local area. Facilities were always clean and tidy. Nice little park for the kids and grass space inbetween pitches to play on. Fantastic surprise bonus of bouncy castles and soft play trailer too on the grass by the cafe which were up all weekend, my daughter had a blast. Would highly recommend for a little family friendly campsite, and we’d definitely come back! What a perfect spot!

Disliked Really couldn’t think of a single thing to complain about. Fab value for money and really can’t rate the friendly vibe any higher

Local attractions

This is a great spot for family and beach holidays, with both Sutton on Sea and Huttoft beaches close by for colourful beach huts at the first and a peaceful, relaxing vibe at the second. Skegness is an easy drive along the coast, and Mablethorpe and Ingoldmells are also easily accessible to the north and south. Among the many other activities near the farm are the ambles and pedals of the Lincolnshire Wolds or taking day trips to Lincolnshire's small market towns like Alford, where there's also a war museum and a theatre. Bargain hunters should also get along to one of Lincolnshire's many car boot sales, at Ingoldmells, Skegness and Mablethorpe on the coast and inland at Louth, Horncastle, Gainsborough and Hornbeach.
