Ik was blij met Great campsite very friendly and helpful owners and helpers
Only thing I would change is some toilets at the far end where the tents and campervans are as it’s quite a walk in the middle of the night if you need to go

Easy to add additional night.

Id definitely recommend the site to others but there are a few things id mention. None of these are complaints or anything i raised with the site as this is just personal preference and didnt really affect our stay

Ik was niet blij met Distance from pitches to toilets is noted on booking information so cant really comment further. It would certainly benefit from toilets and also an elsan point further up the site .

There is no specified grey waste pointz i asked one person and they said most either let it drain or empty in the hedgeway at the side of the site .

There is only 3 mens toilets and 2 showers, so at times you can get a short wait for an available cubicle .

Cafe ~
This was the only thing id rate low overall.
Priced at the top end but the quality was not there.
Bacon cheeseburger with fries, the only decent part was the fries to be honest.
Poor over cooked beef? Burger. Hard bacon and "plastic cheese"
You could really push the quality here with the price at what it is.


Now, the one thing that the site cannot be held responsible for is other guests inability to control there children

While there we saw several under 8s id say swearing, throwing food (and chairs at one point) with no one seeming to own the children.

There also seemed to be alot of people helping in the cafe area, so at times it was unclear who actually worked there.

Overall the site has lots of potential, but really needs direction and firmer management.

Location is excellent
Value for money
Only a small park and bouncy castles ( they need to be more supervised)

But comes at a cost with smaller issues

Ik was blij met Great location, handy for Huttoft and Sutton on Sea.
Big pitches.
Playground for younger children, games room for older kids.
Showers were good (50p for 5 mins).
Pot wash and laundry room on site.
Good cafe serving home cooked fayre at reasonable prices & excellent ice cream at good prices too.
Very friendly and welcoming owners and wardens.
Very reasonable pitch prices.
11pm quiet time was adhered to.

Ik was niet blij met Facility block is a very long walk from the camping pitches.
Facility block, while functional, was a bit tired and in need of an update.
Games room and potwash/laundry similarly were a bit tired but functional. Hot water in the pot wash was very hit and miss.
Grass camping pitches in a poor state*
Pitches needed to be better organised - large groups needed to be pitched together to allow more space and less disturbance for other campers.
No real walking paths from site, you need a car to go anywhere.

*The hot weather has been mostly to blame for this which I accept is difficult for the owners.

Ik was blij met We love everything about coming here. Been several times now. The owners Dave and Karla and the wardens are lovely people. Nothing is ever too much for any of them and residents whom reside on the site are all lovely especially Roman and Dylan. See you next may

Ik was blij met The Toilette and showers were very clean and there were a lot for the children to play

Ik was blij met Lots of activities for the kids, friendly staff/owners and great location

Ik was niet blij met Got told on arrival no BBQ due to the heatwave which is fair enough but could this not have been emailed prior to arrival as we had planned out meals around it.

Ik was blij met Very welcoming friendly owners and staff. They are all extremely proud of their site as they should be. Clean, well kept and lovely home cooked food available.owners go out of their way to provide you with everything needed for a lovely holiday. Stayed there several times now and fully intend to return.

Ik was niet blij met Not much to say here just that we CHOOSE to be towards the back of the site so I find it a bit of a walk from the shower block and toilets , BUT, I’m in my 70’s and a bit doddery hahaha. Wouldn’t stop me revisiting.
