Disliked The grass could have been cut as it was quite long.

The grass had been cut the week before but with the rain and all the warm weather it has gone from being scorched to so green and growing out of control just in just over 7 days. The guy that comes and cuts the grass came just after you left he tries to cut the field when there is nobody on site. Look forward to seeing you again sometime

From the manager: Thanks for your review. You stayed 1 night did not come into the pub. You had electric hook up with no cap on how much you used. The use of the toilets all with toilet paper, hand wash and hand towels, showers again with no cap of how long you stay in the shower before it cuts off. The use of the washup area. So sorry your not coming back

Liked Large pitches. Two showers / toilets with hot water. Elsan disposal point and fresh water. Really peaceful location behind the pub. Friendly staff!

Liked The pub serves great food though make sure you book in advance by phoning as we booked via their website and they hadn’t checked so weren’t aware we had booked.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We do not have a website and we have not had a website for a very long time, we have a Facebook page. You booked your stay via Pitchup who have all our allocations and yes I had your booking to stay on site. You did not book a table to dine, on your special requests you wanted to be near the toilets for personal reasons. I have checked all my messages on messenger you did not message me or failing that you could have just picked up the phone. You really confused the young lady behind the bar saying you were booked in for food you were not, just because you book a pitch does not mean you booked a table in the restaurant. The shower block is going under repair and is still very usable and very clean. You stayed one night . Thank you for not returning

Liked Super little campsite in a small village, within easy reach of coast and countryside attractions. I arrived while the pub was closed but a notice instructed me to select my own pitch, all of which were generous size and clearly marked. The site was well maintained and the facilities very clean although in need of repair but this was work in progress. Two combined toilet/showers, sufficient as only small site. Also has free WiFi. The pub was dog friendly, the food was excellent. Generous portions and well presented. The staff were friendly and efficient. Will definitely stay again.

Liked The Pub and staff were incredible. The food was sublime.
Very easy check in and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Very quiet
Disliked The pitch we had was very uneven and being in a tent, we just couldnt get anything level and the bed was a nightmare to sleep on. But I think we had the worst pitch tbh
Also the wifi signal was non existant through the day and barely any signal with o2

Liked The hospitality of the team and welcoming nature. The peacefulness of the surroundings, felt instantly calmer when I arrived. The small and not too crowded campsite. The close proximity of the excellent showers and toilets. Also liked being able to get excellent meals and drinks on site and the lovely attitude towards my dog.
Disliked Really there was nothing to dislike. We were kept awake by wildlife roosting in trees above, but being close to nature was also what we liked about it.

Liked Nice quiet area. No noise or light pollution, so nights were clear. Chloe enjoy to main roads too get about easily.
Site was nice and small, but plenty of space to spread out.
Toilets and showers were always clean.
Disliked It's been mentioned before that the floor in one of the showers needs work, but it was well covered so not much of an issue.
