What customers say
Quiet, adults-only site with roomy pitches. Guests rave about spotless facilities & hearty pub meals (generous serves!). A few mention pub hours & patchy WiFi, but it's a top spot for a chill break. Many keen to return. Manager's responsive.

Nice stay

Liked Lovely quiet rural place. Great pub great food so we were told by fellow campers. Didn’t get to eat in there this time. Nice shower and toilet block. Some of the roads around there were terrible satnav can take you down them. Would definitely stay there again if that way.
Disliked Nothing really

Liked Super little campsite in a small village, within easy reach of coast and countryside attractions. I arrived while the pub was closed but a notice instructed me to select my own pitch, all of which were generous size and clearly marked. The site was well maintained and the facilities very clean although in need of repair but this was work in progress. Two combined toilet/showers, sufficient as only small site. Also has free WiFi. The pub was dog friendly, the food was excellent. Generous portions and well presented. The staff were friendly and efficient. Will definitely stay again.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Liked Beautiful quiet site. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves the first night, just sharing with the deer, hare and the rest of the wildlife was so nice to see.
Toilets and showers in same cubicle, were clean at all times.
Good location, very quiet and peaceful place.
The pub on site was unfortunately closed during our stay but reviews say it is lovely so probably worth checking it out.
Disliked Communication before our stay was difficult but they did eventually reply and were apologetic as had been having some issues.
Wifi was pretty dreadful - we moved to the other side of the field the second night but wasn’t much better.

Liked Nice location quiet area with plenty of walks 20 minute drive to Skegness there is also a pub on site but limited opening times but were very welcoming. Very small shower block but never had to wait!! Good spacious showers not push button!
Disliked Would have liked the pub to have extended hours especially as bank holiday weekend and the pitch was full. Nice outdoor seating

Overall, I would return. A few adjustments can be easily rectified.

Liked It was kept neat and tidy, the fact that it was adult only (as this was our first trip child free) pleasant countryside. Far enough out from the hustle and bustle, but not too far to travel. Very quiet and nice hidden campsite.
Disliked The facilities, the flooring within the shower rooms have rotted away the only thing holding it together is the lino flooring. ( needs some tlc or there will be an accident) up to 20 pitches with only 2 toilets and 2 showers conjoined, making differcult for those only awaiting toilet differcult. Didn't see any owners to discuss these issues face to face.
Electric hook up for the top part of the field is far and made differcult to plug in, and we have a 15meter line, so id recommend a longer cable.

From the manager: Thank you for your review.it is appreciated. I am pleased that you would visit again. The facilities are under repair one of them if your other half had not noticed now has a concrete floor with a new covering so it cannot see that sinking too soon. The other one is not so bad and is going to be repaired in the same way. The amount of toilets to pitches I really do not know how many times I am going to have to say this I do not let all the pitches out (never), I only let out 12 on the grass and 3 on the gravel on the whole only 15 pitches at a time. I like people to be able to arrive a little early leave a little bit latter and some who want to stay an extra night or 2.. Electric hook up if your lead cannot reach I lend them out for free. You could have spoken to me face to face at anytime I own this secret garden and I am the chef too look forward to seeing you again at sometime..
