  • Small and peaceful adults-only site with pub and restaurant
  • A 20-minute drive from Skegness beaches, fairground and seal sanctuary
  • Within 25 minutes of the Viking Way and Lindsey Trail scenic routes
Country footpaths, home-cooked local produce and traditional ales, coastal walks and castles… half an hour’s drive from New York? No, there’s no mistake, but the New York in question is in rural Lincolnshire, as is the quiet, simple and very uncitylike Eaves Inn. As you may have guessed, there's a country pub to be found here... The site's at the back of a traditional country inn, open from Thursdays to Sundays to serve local ale from its cosy bar and a wide menu of eats in its restaurant. It's all rather scenic too, as pitches are in a wide field with views across farmland and fen, in the centre of the village of Little Steeping. Around the region, it's a 20-minute drive from here to Skegness. Shops and supermarkets are in Skegness and barbecues are allowed on this adults-only site, you can indulge in a bit of outdoor grilling any time you like. Work up an appetite by taking the dog for a brisk walk on the footpaths passing by the site. While the combination of pub plus field plus view is spectacularly simple, that doesn’t mean roughing it: a modern block combines hot showers, sinks and a washing-up area, all of it gleaming and heated.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked This is a lovely peaceful adults only site surrounded by the countryside but not to far away from Skegness if you want to visit the beach, fair and markets.

Pauline and her staff were very friendly and accommodating, we forgot to pack our dogs leads and she very kindly loaned us some for the duration of our stay was very much appreciated by myself and husband.

The pub is a lovely village pub with good outdoor seating area and the food is not to be missed we ate there on 2 consecutive nights and it did not disappoint large portions and very tasty.

Bathrooms (shower, toilet & sink combined) are small but functional and were kept spotlessly clean all through our stay. Good pot wash area for washing up.

We stayed on a gravel pitch and never had any problems with the wifi although it was busy.

Liked What's not to like ! Self check in which was no problem information boards are clearly displayed .Spacious level pitches(we had a gravel pitch) and two immaculately clean self contained bathrooms .The site was very tidy and clean,in a very tranquil setting just behind The Eves pub. Now,thats another story ! Pauline( the owner of the site and pub)and Emily gave us a warm welcome and we met a delightful barman Aiden .We were welcomed by locals all of whom made us feel very comfortable. The food at the pub is exceptional! Fabulous menu, generous portions and exceptional quality. We ate there on two consecutive evenings ...I can't recommend this site enough .We will definitely return.Thank you all,we loved our stay.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked We arrived on the bank holiday monday and found we were the only ones on site. We choose our own pitch and then sat back and enjoyed the piece and quiet of the adult only site. Visited local towns during the day.
And took advantage of a meal in the pub on the Friday night. We got to know Pauline the Landlady and owner and her local friends from the village who are lovely. Having had a wonderful stay we decided to have Sunday dinner before leaving for home stuffed. Loved the tranquil break and will be visiting again.

Disliked 1.As already mentioned in other reviews and actioned for fixing,👍 the toilet/shower room floor.
2.Wonky toilet seat.
3. Other campers before us, dumping waste grey water in the small dyke/soak aways surrounding the camp field that not only damage wildlife but creat bad smells and encourages mosquitos.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Due to time we went (mid week just before Easter holidays) we quiet literally had the site to ourselves. If you are looking for a tranquil, out of the way place this is the one for you. Pitches all level, toilets and showers clean and the hosts friendly.

We knew when we booked and understood the pub wasn't open every day of the week and can totally understand why, opening up mid week sometimes doesn't make commercial sense and we fully support this.

Disliked Nothing

From the manager: You booked to arrive here on the Saturday 3rd of January after which had been a very busy Christmas & New Year all the guests had been and gone after the Christmas holidays to get back to work or normality. You were contacted firstly on messenger about the weather conditions asking if you would like to cancel or move your booking on to another date. You were then phoned by a member of staff to ask you again, you said no it was all fine and that you was a experienced fisherman who was quite used to being outside in the cold and knew how to boil a kettle. You then called and booked a table for Saturday evening you both had scampi & chips, came in ate your food and left, you could have come and sat by the log fire had a coffee or a drink and a chat. my bar & wating staff felt you wanted to left alone. You also booked a table for Sunday lunch I reserved a table for you, I was fully booked, (last Sunday of the holidays), with a waiting list, you did not show up or cancel and we tried to call you to make sure you were ok, you rejected the calls and then turned your phone off. It is not a secret that this site is self check in, sorry no meet & greet..

Liked Very quiet site for the night. Spotless showers, toilet and washing up facility, although did not use as we had a self services motorhome. Right behind the put. Had a meal here and was served by the most polite young lad behind the bar. Extensive menu and the food was very big portions. The owner of the pub was was welcoming. Would stay here again.

Local attractions

If seeking a taste of traditional seaside stuff, set course for Skegness for sands and dunes, fairground rides and pier promenades, and endearing encounters with the residents of Natureland Seal Sanctuary. For meetings of the furred and feathered kind, it’s 15 minutes to the Lincolnshire Wildlife Park, home to tigers, tapirs, lemurs and hundreds of species of rescued parrots. If you prefer your wildlife in the wild, make the half-hour journey to Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve, a prairie-like vastness of dunes and wetlands where you can spot terns and skylarks while walking the trails. For longer hikes and bike rides, Horncastle (25 minutes) is a hub for two major routes: the Viking Way links the Humber Estuary with Rutland Water over 147 miles of grand terrain, while the 80 miles of the Lindsey Trail focus on the chalk hills, woodlands and ancient history of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Wartime history lies thick on the ground in these parts too, thanks to the role played by Lincolnshire’s people and airfields in the Battle of Britain: learn more at the Aviation Heritage Centre in East Kirkby, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre and the International Bomber Command Centre (20 minutes, half an hour and an hour away). Whether birdwatching or battlements are your bag, Tattershall Castle (half an hour) is worth a turn around, with 15th-century show-off interiors, woodlands full of wildlife and lakes nearby for wakeboarding and watery assault courses.
