What customers say
This is a friendly, clean and well-maintained campsite with largely positive feedback. Visitors frequently praise the helpful and welcoming staff, the cleanliness of the facilities, and the level pitches. The site is considered ideal for families due to its peaceful atmosphere and a good play area for children, and its proximity to Skegness is a key advantage. Some minor drawbacks mentioned include road noise and the upkeep of older stored caravans.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Cheapest spot around and just a few miles from Skegness.
Disliked It's by the main road, surprisingly noisy at night.
You are surrounded by literally dozens of dead caravans. Great if you want a new take on Haunted House.
Reception isn't open much, I wanted to recharge my phone and ended up grovelling to one of the caravanners.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked As soon as we drove up we had someone show us to out plot and explained where everything was and explained anything we weren't sure of. The pitch size was good and with plenty of space between us and our neighbours. We were close to the children's play area which was in view as well which we liked so we could keep an eye on our 3 year old. Toilet facilities were kept clean and tidy and to a high standard. Really useful pot wash area as well. Fresh drinking water tap was very useful as well. We didn't end up using the showers so can't comment on how they were but I know others used them whilst we were there.
Overall lovely spot to pitch up and very reasonably priced with not being far from the centre. We would come here again for sure.
Disliked Not many dislikes or complaints here as such the only things I could comments on would be the sign at night especially was difficult to see and I even drove past the camp grounds the first time as were came from a different direction.
Slight noise from the road especially seems loud at night but nothing that bothered us but I know it may others.
The first night we were there overnight kids were playing until past 11pm at night which made it difficult when putting down our 3 year old as they were particularly loud but this is due to parents and not the caravan park but could maybe be something to be aware of when stopping here.

Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Lovely site. Great price for a gravel pitch with electric hook up. Good open space for children to play + play area. Sited campers were very friendly. 5 mins drive into Skegness. Toilets/shower clean. Close to ingoldmells/ chapel St Leonard’s
Disliked The only thing I was disappointed with was that there is not a dog walk as stated on pitchup. There is a public footpath that goes through farmers fields that we found about a mile away (drove to).. but Croft road is really busy 50mph road and there is no footpath so I would not walk along that with my young children and dogs as it is not safe to do so.

Liked First time camping with our 5 year old and what a pleasure it has been!.. first entering the site we was met by a lady ( not sure of name) who kindly showed us to our camping pitch. She then showed us where the toilets pot wash was ect.. all I can say is what a lovely little gem of a camp site.. extremely spacious pitches. Small and quiet and so friendly. My daughter made a wonderful little friend called April who stays here each year for her holidays and it really made my daughters week. People who stay here throughout the season was so lovely to us and always had time for a chat and made a fuss with our daughter and let her stroke there dogs ect.. the pitches are so level wich made us novices happy when it came to putting our tent up.. the site is close enough to Skegness center but far enough away from the hustle and bustle for a more relaxed feel.. I have seen a few reviews about the noise from the road but we didnt even notice it at all...
The toilet and shower block was extremely clean and we saw them being cleaned and replenished daily. The pot wash area ( 2 sinks) was definitely an added extra bonus for us.
We unfortunately didnt get to meet the owners val and Eric as they was on holiday but absolutely left there site in great hands as we was made to feel welcome and was taken care of with knowing where everything was.
There is a lovely park on the camping field where my daughter would play and enjoy for hours on end...
My only thing im sad about is that we didnt book for longer and that im packing my tent up to leave today!
Disliked That i have to leave today and didnt book for longer

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Site was friendly,
Disliked Alot of noise from the road, no disabled toilet or disabled shower. Only one shower block, no information on the site of where things were. And so many old caravans which made it look unsightly.

From the manager: Hello Mr Paul Croft, many thanks for staying at our campsite and also the review you have left. I will go on to comment on your issues, however I do have to say that I find it amazing that a small business like ourselves can be subject to such a negative score, which obviously has a negative effect on our livelihood all because the person making the booking either can't be bothered or just doesn't take the time to do their research into the site they are booking, especially when it comes to disabled needs. Always has to be the site owners fault, not the visiting party, ....Anyhoo, going back to your points. You state we do not have a disabled toilet, yes that's right, we don't, that's why we DO NOT advertise we have disabled toilets. You also mention that we do not have a disabled shower, again that is right and why we DO NOT advertise that we have a disabled shower. You make a comment regarding one shower block, that is also correct. This is separated into a male and female section, which contains the correct number of showers, toilets and washing facilities for a campsite of this size. Not sure what your issue is with that and again you would have clearly seen this if you had taken the time during the booking. Next, the "unsightly" caravans. Again this has been addressed a number of times within reviews and comments. We actually have pictures on our Pitch Up page showing the "unsightly" caravans, which I'm sure you would have seen at the time of booking. Finally the "no information on site". Outside our single shower block and on the way to the camping field (before the unsightly caravans), we actually have a large map of the site showing where things are......not sure how you missed that. May I suggest going forward that you take the time to research the campsite you are looking to book and not just blame the owners when you don't have the facilities you expect...........We wish you happies camping for the future.
