Top Yard Farm Caravan Park: View of the site

General

  • Small, family-friendly site in the Lincolnshire countryside
  • Two miles from Skegness and 15 minutes' drive from Ingoldmells
  • On-site play area, licensed bar and laundry facilities

Folk setting off for Skegness will certainly find a friendly welcome at Top Yard Farm Caravan Park, a small family-run site two miles from the lively resort on the Lincolnshire coast. And in settling here you'll be in a fine spot for seeing both Skegness and all the surrounding area has to offer. (Hint: quite a bit.)

You'll pick up on the amicable vibe as soon as you arrive at this well-maintained Skeggy spot, whether that's a welcome from the Top Yard Farm team themselves or a glass raised among pals old and new at the site's licensed bar, serving draught beers, wines and spirits in a convivial atmosphere to round off a long sightseeing or sandy day.

The facilities here are well kept, and include a toilet and shower block, a drinking water tap, and sinks for dishwashing and laundry. A play area is on hand to tire out the kids (fingers crossed that means they'll sleep well…).

this is a very much caravan owners spot, especially on site permanent residents. There was a large field for tents, and this field was used by the permanent caravan residents to walk their dogs, who wants to sit in a tent and smell Dog mess, at night they would walk around with torches and shine them in the tents. There was an on site bar which opened at 8pm, on a first come basis for seats, if you got there at 7.50pm all seats were already taken by the caravan residents, so really they got first dibs on anything. I would not stay there again,

From the manager...

Hi Christine, many thanks for staying with us and giving your review. Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay and its unfortunate that you have scored our site so low for the actions of some caravaners. Just to cover a few points. During check in, I did mention that if you had any issues with your stay to contact us and we would come and sort things out for you. If you were having issues with torches being flashed into your tent or in fact if you were having any issues with caravaners walking dogs, I could have sorted that for you, however if I don't know there is an issue, I cant fix it. With regards to the bar, again as mentioned during check in, we have restricted seating to comply with COVID regulation and it was stated that we were working on a first come first serve basis. Not ideal but thats how we have to operate for the time being. I would also like to mention that the 2 gentlemen in your party did actually visit the bar twice and I believe enjoyed a few pints of Guinness......Anyway, all being said and done, I wish you all the best with your future camping.....

Top Yard Farm is within easy travelling distance of Skegness town, its beach, pier and three-storey amusement arcade as well as non-seasidey town things like the National Parrot Sanctuary, Natureland Seal Sanctuary, Skegness Golf Centre and the Embassy Theatre. Bars, nightclubs and restaurants are plentiful too if you're sticking around in town into the night.

A little further north along the coast are other much-visited seaside towns in Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe; Ingoldmells and the Fantasy Island theme park are a few miles south. Inland, pick up food, antiques, souvenirs and more at Lincolnshire's market towns like Spilsby (nine miles), Alford (15 miles), Louth (20 miles) and Boston (20 miles).
