We are a small pop up site and unfortunately there was only so much we realistic justify investing in. However, we do take your comments onboard and perhaps next year we can have some child based activities/play areas.
The local lake is a separate business to ours and our pitch up site description does indicate that you must book in advance online but does not say that it is free. All prices for the Ocean Walker Academy are on their own website which is referenced on our page. Hope this helps.

We can only apologise for the lack of welcome on your arrival - we do always look out for new arrivals and greet them when we can. However, as we are a working farm, it is very difficult to guarantee that a welcome will occur immediately during summer/harvest season. Our contact details are on Pitch Up and it does say that it is contactless check in. We would have happily given instructions over the phone as we have for several campers this year.
Our site has become far more popular than we imagined , and at times this has meant that the facilities have been busier than we would like. We do plan to have more units added now that we know how much people love our little site!! Hopefully we will see you again so we can show you around!

The weekend that you booked was exceptionally busy and we quickly realised that we needed to expand the camp area to give people plenty of space. We did have to prepare the field quickly and so although we cleared it as thoroughly as possible, we can only apologise for the (odd) dry “yesterday’s grass!”
Next year we plan to prepare larger, greener areas that are camp ready! Hopefully we will see you then !

Wasps were a bit of a pain this year but as you say very little we can do! We have been told about a product on Amazon called “the waspinator” which for £10 will deter wasps from entering your pitch area!! Might be worth a try another time!!

We are some what confused about the shower not working for you. We haven’t had any other complaints and do test the shower daily with no issues??? We can only assume it had either been isolated by another camper or the cleaners by mistake. We are sorry if this spoilt your stay - hopefully you forgive us and we can welcome you next year!
