Trusthorpe Springs Leisure Park: The children's play area available at all times next to the tourer park

General

  • Near Mablethorpe and half a mile from the beach
  • Friendly team and high standards for facilities
  • Pool, restaurant and entertainment

You'll like this site – as well as its location, near Mablethorpe and less than a mile from the beach, Trusthorpe Springs Leisure Park is a place where the team goes out of its way to ensure guests have a happy hol (and all is kept pretty spanking clean around here too).

The site is set in the grounds of a 19th-century hall, with its focal point, the Cartwheel Club, converted from the old hall stables to a modern building for live entertainment and good food (please check opening times on arrival as these vary throughout the season).

Trusthorpe Springs has a heated swimming pool, converted with care from the old kitchen garden and open from the late bank holiday in May to the beginning of September depending on weather conditions (worth noting that although it's open seven days a week you'll need to book slots to swim). The reception area has the site shop where staff try their best to cater to any stock request.

The staff were friendly. The toilets and showers were really clean and warm and the site has lots of facilities including a pool! Really Dog friendly and even allowed dogs into the bar on the evening. Great dog field to let them have a run round off lead. Close enough to local towns but a car drive away so nice and peaceful.

    Disliked:

Touring pitches near to a road with no barrier so dogs and kids had to be watched more carefully and didn't feel quite so secure.

The pool was lovely, clean and warm with plenty of space. The site was well maintained. The cartwheel bar was ok, shame that they didn’t have any entertainment on when we went (though it was on the following weekend)

    Disliked:

The power point was too far from my pitch so my 10m lead would not reach. Had to move slightly out of my pitch to collect. Ie could have done with closer power points. (Though I guess most people have longer leads)

From the manager...

Hello, thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry your cable wasn't long enough to reach the hook up point. Please do come into Reception on your next visit as we do have a longer cable we can loan out for just occasions. Unfortunately entertainment does not take place every weekend.

We had a great 4 night break in a static caravan. Check in was quick and easy. Caravan was nice and a good size with lots of pots and pans and utensils etc. The TV has a dvd player, so we took some dvd's with us.

It's a small site and mostly made up of private owners but the regulars/owners families all seemed really nice and welcoming.

The pool was a great hit for my 9year old who had a session once a day and you could use inflatables too. The deepest end is 1.4 meters and you have to book a slot which wasn't a problem for us.

Wifi was free for the stay and although it was peak season and we were told this might cause issues we didn't have any problems.

We attempted to go to the onsite pub on the family night but my son wasn't interested so can't comment on that but looked popular.

10mins to Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe.

    We look forwarding to returning.

    Disliked:

The caravan was located by the road and although not a super busy road you could hear it whilst sleeping. This could be a personal thing and might not effect the next person. However, this won't stop me from returning again.
