General

  • Near Mablethorpe and half a mile from the beach
  • Friendly team and high standards for facilities
  • Pool, restaurant and entertainment

You'll like this site – as well as its location, near Mablethorpe and less than a mile from the beach, Trusthorpe Springs Leisure Park is a place where the team goes out of its way to ensure guests have a happy hol (and all is kept pretty spanking clean around here too).

The site is set in the grounds of a 19th-century hall, with its focal point, the Cartwheel Club, converted from the old hall stables to a modern building for live entertainment and good food (please check opening times on arrival as these vary throughout the season).

Trusthorpe Springs has a heated swimming pool, converted with care from the old kitchen garden and open from the start of May to the beginning of September depending on weather conditions. The reception area has the site shop where staff try their best to cater to any stock request.

Please note

The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/05 and 05/09 (subject to weather conditions).

The toilet and shower facilities were spotless as was the washing up facilities. Really nice touch was washing up liquid and a tea towel to use. The food in the bar was homemade and very good and reasonably priced and the staff were really friendly on the whole of the site.

Can’t say as I disliked anything Only downside I would have liked the kids 12 10 both very good swimmer to be able to. Go to pool without us having to sit around with them but understand as no life guard around

From the manager...

Thank you for taking time to leave your super comments and I will make sure I pass them on to all my team at Trusthorpe Springs. Sadly as we don't have a lifeguard we're not able to allow unaccompanied children into the pool area. We look forward to seeing you again.

    Outdoor pool

    Disliked:

Only 1key fob issued for toilet and shower block per family which causes problems, should be a code instead. Clubhouse now looking very dated.

From the manager...

Thank you for your comments, we have found that issuing more fobs per pitch means that more of them are lost. Had there been an issue I'm sure our reception would have been able to assist with an additional fob.

Helpful and friendly staff. Clean and tidy caravan. Our stay was brilliant, this is the second time we have been and it was perfect for our stay. Due to the season it was quite cold but the caravan was lovely and cosy. Lots to do in the seaside towns for little children.

    Disliked:

Could easily access wifi - signal very weak

From the manager...

Thank you for taking time to write your lovely comments on your recent stay with us, I will certainly pass your remarks on to my house team. Sadly OpenReach are not able to get "superfast" internet to us yet and we currently have to rely on their copper connection which can be a little hit and miss sometimes but we do keep pressing them.

  • T005 Swift Burgundy 3 bedroom static caravan

  • Liked:

The caravan was beautiful and clean plenty of space for us all we were a party of 8, 3 adults and 5 children aging from 12 to 4 months with it being out of season the caravan park was very quiet and we were down for a family wedding so didn't use the club on site so we can't comment on what it was like but it was open and a lovely little shop on site was also great and friendly helpful staff all in all we had a very lovely break and look forward to staying again in the summer.

    Disliked:

The only dislike was the road outside the caravan park which for maybe 300 yards has no pavement and with small children and a pushchair we personally didn't feel comfortable walking along the road but the drive to the sea front is less than 5mins away and this hasn't put us off staying again but it's something to keep in mind if you have a little independent person who doesn't like to hold your hand that's why we chose to drive up every day.

From the manager...

Thank you for your super comments and pictures showing what a great time you had at the seaside. We hope the family wedding went well and wish the happy couple the very best for the future. We look forward to seeing you again in summer.

Trusthorpe Springs Leisure Park is half a mile from the coast, two miles from Mablethorpe and 15 minutes from Skegness, all of which should give beach fans plenty to be getting on with.

The country pubs and villages of the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are a 30-minute drive away. Several much visited market towns are here too, like antique centre Horncastle, Market Rasen and its racecourse, and the craft market, pottery and seven-storeyed windmill of Alford.

Staying even closer to home, the area surrounding Trusthorpe Springs is well posted with footpaths for walking and cycling, and is well suited to all ages and fitness levels because of its flat terrain.
