Trusthorpe Springs Leisure Park: The children's play area available at all times next to the tourer park

General

  • Near Mablethorpe and half a mile from the beach
  • Friendly team and high standards for facilities
  • Pool, restaurant and entertainment

You'll like this site – as well as its location, near Mablethorpe and less than a mile from the beach, Trusthorpe Springs Leisure Park is a place where the team goes out of its way to ensure guests have a happy hol (and all is kept pretty spanking clean around here too).

The site is set in the grounds of a 19th-century hall, with its focal point, the Cartwheel Club, converted from the old hall stables to a modern building for live entertainment and good food (please check opening times on arrival as these vary throughout the season).

Trusthorpe Springs has a heated swimming pool, converted with care from the old kitchen garden and open from the late bank holiday in May to the beginning of September depending on weather conditions (worth noting it's closed on Monday and Tuesday and has a booking system in place). The reception area has the site shop where staff try their best to cater to any stock request.

Small touring pitch but still a very friendly atmosphere. Lovely little park for the children and the swimming pool is a great plus for us as a family. Lovely pub on site, George who runs the Cartwheel is a friendly, chatty and welcoming and the Sunday lunch was beautiful. The shower/toilet facilities are extremely clean and plenty of room. The shop on site is stocked for essentials and very reasonably priced. This is was our 2nd time at Trusthorpe and we will definitely be back again.

Lovely clean site. Not many tourers which was nice. Small play area with climbing frame etc for younger children, also football pitch area which gave a lovely extra.
Good to have shower block, pot wash room and laundry facilities should you need them. Free wifi and unlimited electric was great.
Small shop on site which was useful although ran out of essentials some days, very friendly bar staff in the club which also served food plus pool table and small arcade game area.
Main reason for booking this site was the heated outdoor pool which was a nice size with a toddler pool. Well presented, with an outdoor shower and some loungers and benches around it. No lifeguard but not a problem.
Nice quiet location though not remote and miles from the nearby town.

    Disliked:

The pool wasn't open on Mondays or Tuesdays which wasn't advertised anywhere. The club wasn't open on Tuesdays reducing facilities considerably.
The shop/reception closes for an hour at lunchtime and on the day we arrived, there was nowhere else listed to book in so nothing to do but wait despite check in being listed as from 1pm!

There are 10 touring pitches, all decent size. There is a small shop in reception, providing basic provisions. Lovely swimming pool, showers etc. All precautions re Covid in place (hopefully, they will remain, despite what Govt says).
The Cartwheel clubhouse / eatery very nice. Food is very good. Tony Zanelli and staff are lovely, always around to help and to chat. Just a lovely atmosphere.

Location was beautiful and around a 10min drive to Mablethorpe town centre. We were lucky with the weather so the outdoor pool was welcome and not overcrowded. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the caravan we stayed in was clean and spacious. The park was quiet and relaxing, perfect for a weekend away.

    Disliked:

The caravan looked very new and didn’t have many home comforts. There wasn’t any cushions on the sofas or pictures on the walls. There was a lack of hooks for coats or towels. There wasn’t any table lamps so it was either lights on or lights off. This was difficult in the smaller bedrooms, especially with reading at bedtime with small children. A table lamp is definitely needed in the lounge, we had to use the cooker hood light in the evening for low lighting as the main lights were very bright.
