  • A 170-acre site two miles from the beach at Mablethorpe
  • Several fishing lakes on site and a family show bar with entertainment
  • Golf course, aqua park and a bar and restaurant
Guests of all sizes should find stacks to do at good-looking and quiet Grange Leisure Park two miles from Mablethorpe, like packing the kids off to scale the heady heights of the adventure playground's pirate ship while the grownups concern themselves with the serious matters of casting or teeing off… Casting off is at the park's six scenic fishing lakes filled with good-sized carp, roach, bream, perch and a few more scaly species. For teeing off, Grange has a nine-hole golf course; day tickets are available at reception where you can also hire clubs. There's also an outdoor aqua park available for guests' use for an extra charge, and a leisure complex with a family showbar (hosting entertainment), a bar-restaurant, arcade, café and supermarket. Entertainment and fishing are included in the pitch price. After the fish/golf balls have been tamed and the kids have gone wild in the playground (they'll find a zipwire, swings, slide and quite a bit more there too) guests of all sizes can meet up in the Badgers Barn Pub for a bite and a tipple (possibly not the latter for smaller guests). And then, a stroll to walk it all off? Ambling options are all around: Grange Leisure Park is on 170 acres of farmland and fields, with clear open views, miles of trails and wildlife in abundance. If you're wandering into Mablethorpe, the beach is about a mile away, but if you're feeling full/ lazy, the local bus stops right outside the site.

This is a large, well-maintained site with plentiful activities for families, including an aqua park, fishing lakes, and arcade. Visitors frequently praise the friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and spacious pitches. The on-site bar and restaurant also receive positive mentions. Some guests noted road noise on certain pitches and occasional issues with toilet cleanliness, though manager replies indicate these are being addressed. Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked The staff are very efficient and helpful and all the amenities were open.

Disliked Like many others in the area this campsite is more for caravans and tourers. There was two other tents during my night there. We were in the open field towards the rear of the estate. I imagine in glorious weather this is fine, but on a windy day in Lincolnshire (of which there are many) it felt a little exposed. I liken it to a new housing estate, everything looks great, in nice straight lines, polished plastic and efficient, but when the sun goes away, and it's not pack out to the rafters, the flaws start to show.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked Facilities are good. Pitches well set out. Large site. Well maintained

Disliked The soap in the ladies over the low sink was empty for the three days I was there. There are signs up saying no e-scooters etc but this was ignored and not enforced. The arrivals next to me with the 20 year old Range Rover were very rowdy and played Celine Dion on a loop for hours on the Friday. The site managers should be monitoring stuff like this. They also put their caravan hose and water container on my pitch. The bus stop is right outside, but the buses into mablethorpe are every two hours and stop at 5pm. It’s about 50 mins walk. No WiFi available, despite seeing aerials dotted around.

Local attractions

Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea, Ingoldmells, Skegness and other Lincolnshire lovelies are all close by for the coastal connoisseurs; and market towns, villages and the Lincolnshire Wolds easy to get to inland. At Mablethorpe, many visitors wander through the dunes to Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary, home of many a brightly-coloured bird, birds of prey, primates, reptiles and roguish-looking meerkats as well as the seals. Kids and big kids will probably also like Mablethorpe's miniature railway, boating lake and funfair; fans of the latter should add in Ingoldmells, home of Fantasy Island theme park. This is also a cracking area for nature: more seals can be seen at the popular Donna Nook National Nature Reserve down the coast between Grainthorpe Haven and Saltfleet, and a huge nature reserve teeming with squawking seabirds is at Gibraltar Point near Skegness. Also nearby, bob about in boats or cast off again at the waters of the Lincolnshire Wolds, alongside many miles of trails and bridleways to walk, cycle or horse ride, or bob around Lincolnshire's market towns: recommended options include Alford, Louth and Lincoln.
