  • Two miles from the beach at Mablethorpe
  • Golf course, aqua park, bar and restaurant on a 170-acre site
  • Several fishing lakes plus tackle shop
Aaaarrrr! Guests of all sizes will find stacks to do at good-looking and quiet Grange Leisure Park two miles from Mablethorpe, like packing the kids off to scale the heady heights of the adventure playground's pirate ship while the grownups concern themselves with the serious matters of casting or teeing off… Casting off is at the park's six scenic fishing lakes filled with good-sized carp, roach, bream, perch and a few more scaly species (if you haven't brought your gear, the basics are for sale in the site tackle shop). For teeing off, Grange has a nine-hole golf course; day tickets are available at reception where you can also hire clubs. There's also an outdoor aqua park available for guests' use for an extra charge, and a leisure complex with a showbar, bar and restaurant, arcade, café and supermarket. Entertainment and fishing is included in the pitch price. After the fish/golf balls have been tamed and the kids have gone wild in the playground (they'll find a zipwire, swings, slide and quite a bit more there too) guests of all sizes can meet up in the Badgers Barn Pub for a bite and a tipple (possibly not the latter for smaller guests). And then, a stroll to walk it all off? Ambling options are all around: Grange Leisure Park is on 170 acres of farmland and fields, with clear open views, miles of trails and wildlife in abundance. If you're wandering into Mablethorpe, the beach is about a mile away, but if you're feeling full/ lazy, the local bus stops right outside the site. A new amenities block was added in 2018.

Liked Loved the campsite,
Good facilities, showers/ toilets well maintained.
Pitches was great, fishing ponds was a great hit.
Parks was kept well and a good size, amusements was good for a rainy day all the staff was lovely and gave the kids extra.
Will definitely be back.
Great location also, supermarkets near bye and mablethorpe beach/ coast was only 10-15mins drive away.

Disliked Placed next to a busy road there was a block of trees blocking but a child or dog could easily get out.
Didn’t sleep great due to the amount of traffic but we got some ear plugs and it worked a treat.
The geese also wake you up early but we didn’t mind as like a full day and it’s lovely to be outside.
Entertainment went on till late and was very loud but again nothing the ear plugs didn’t help with and the kids still slept through once we was all tired from a busy day.
Wouldn’t put us off going back but wouldn’t say was ideal for light sleeps and young children.
Although there’s tent pitching at the top end of the field which would work much better for younger families.
One bad thing we ordered breakfast as we was leaving the campsite and waited around 40 mins to go in as we took the dog and no pets aloud in the cafe to be told our order had been missed and not even started. We asked for a refund which was given but as a dog friendly camp site the only place we could take her in was the main restaurant.
Very disappointed at this as we couldn’t go to no entertainment/ amusements/ park as a family as one had to wait with the dog.
Knowing this I wouldn’t have taken the dog.
Could have been better advertised.

FHU gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked Our pitch was perfect, great size, we had a view of the aqua park. We were located near toilet block and a very short walk to the arcade and shop. As we were in Motorhome we caught a bus right outside the site into Mablethorpe. The site was clean, staff were friendly. All in all we had a great stay and the weather was a bonus.

Disliked we only visited the entertainment once, drinks were pricey, Which put us off staying in there longer.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Booked for camping- 3 nights. Staff helpful upon arrival.
Fishing lakes are spot on. Some great catches.
5 mins from mabelthorpe 20-30 from Skegness.
Fantasia in Mabelthorpe do amazing pizzas and deliver to the site!
Food onsite from the badgers barn was nice too.
One staff member (didn't catch his name but he was newish) was extremely helpful, my son has a gluten intolerance so I had to ask lots of questions & he was happy to help.
Park and lots to do onsite for the kids including entertainment & arcades!
Soft ground plenty of space.

Disliked Noise- can't be helped but 2 of the nights people were having parties I believe with loud music into the early hours of the morning.
Waterpark- very overpriced £100+ for 4 of us so we avoided
Again to be expected the shop was very expensive but Lidl is close enough.
Showers closest to snake lake make a pool of water on the dry side and don't have a drain so crocs or sliders are a must

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Good pitch with lots of space for privacy. Nice friendly and helpful staff. Not too far to the toilet. Shop was asked overpriced as on some holiday parks. Priced as a standard spa

Disliked Lots of great facilities but no dog friendly options so we couldn't use anything. Stayed on lots of resorts where there is a mix of dog friendly and no dogs facilities. There is a lot of scope for the park to make it easier to visit with a dog which feels necessary given the amount of dogs on sites.

Toilet facilities not very clean and the shower in the smaller block wasn't working properly and the smell around that block is really bad

Worth bearing in mind this is a noisy campsite which may not be to everyone's tastes.

Powered grass travel trailer or tent campsite

Liked The site was lovely and the staff there are amazing. The lady who showed us to our pitch was so nice she came round the next day to check everything was ok. Toilet block was clean didn’t use the showers though but they were in the same block. Tesco is only a few minutes down the road driving with a b&m next door.

Disliked We didn’t realise they would be playing very loud music till about 11.30 at night we were very close to it though. The electric pitches also have to share between two tents and is a little bit of an awkward spot although they do provide extensions that bare reach with a £20 deposit but I do agree with that bit.

Local attractions

Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea, Ingoldmells, Skegness and other Lincolnshire lovelies are all close by for the coastal connoisseurs; and market towns, villages and the Lincolnshire Wolds easy to get to inland. At Mablethorpe, many visitors wander through the dunes to Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary, home of many a brightly-coloured bird, birds of prey, primates, reptiles and roguish-looking meerkats as well as the seals. Kids and big kids will probably also like Mablethorpe's miniature railway, boating lake and funfair; fans of the latter should add in Ingoldmells, home of Fantasy Island theme park. This is also a cracking area for nature: more seals can be seen at the popular Donna Nook National Nature Reserve down the coast between Grainthorpe Haven and Saltfleet, and a huge nature reserve teeming with squawking seabirds is at Gibraltar Point near Skegness. Also nearby, bob about in boats or cast off again at the waters of the Lincolnshire Wolds, alongside many miles of trails and bridleways to walk, cycle or horse ride, or bob around Lincolnshire's market towns: recommended options include Alford, Louth and Lincoln.
