  • A 170-acre site two miles from the beach at Mablethorpe
  • Several fishing lakes on site and a family show bar with entertainment
  • Golf course, aqua park and a bar and restaurant
Guests of all sizes should find stacks to do at good-looking and quiet Grange Leisure Park two miles from Mablethorpe, like packing the kids off to scale the heady heights of the adventure playground's pirate ship while the grownups concern themselves with the serious matters of casting or teeing off… Casting off is at the park's six scenic fishing lakes filled with good-sized carp, roach, bream, perch and a few more scaly species. For teeing off, Grange has a nine-hole golf course; day tickets are available at reception where you can also hire clubs. There's also an outdoor aqua park available for guests' use for an extra charge, and a leisure complex with a family showbar (hosting entertainment), a bar-restaurant, arcade, café and supermarket. Entertainment and fishing are included in the pitch price. After the fish/golf balls have been tamed and the kids have gone wild in the playground (they'll find a zipwire, swings, slide and quite a bit more there too) guests of all sizes can meet up in the Badgers Barn Pub for a bite and a tipple (possibly not the latter for smaller guests). And then, a stroll to walk it all off? Ambling options are all around: Grange Leisure Park is on 170 acres of farmland and fields, with clear open views, miles of trails and wildlife in abundance. If you're wandering into Mablethorpe, the beach is about a mile away, but if you're feeling full/ lazy, the local bus stops right outside the site.

What customers say

Friendly staff, clean grounds, and great facilities like fishing and an aqua park are big hits, especially for families. Spacious sites and a good location are appreciated. Some guests found the washrooms could be cleaner during busy periods, noted occasional noise, and felt the aqua park was a bit expensive.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Facilities

Disliked Cleanliness of toilets and showers. We asked the staff to clean the portaloos and they kept saying they had but they were disgusting 90% of the time.
Flexibility of staff - even though had asked on booking (some time in advance) that ourselves and another family of friends could be pitched together, upon arrival we were quite a distance apart. When asking at reception what could be done they said nothing as someone had already booked that pitch and they couldn’t swap. When the people arrived we asked and they said no problem and swapped with us.

Powered grass tent campsite

Liked Liked the sense of community from other campers. Site was clean and tidy staff in reception was friendly and helpful especially the touring warden

Disliked The kitchen cafe attached to spa, staff was extremely rude, unorganised, slow and unhelpful. Food not brilliant or cooked wrong drinks and toast turned up after meal eaten regardless of been chased multiple times. Wrong orders even when not busy.

Electric hookups too far from pitch take extension cord

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Receptionists friendly.
Grounds were good and plenty of bins
Decent golf course

Disliked Toilets were blocked for days and at one point 2 out of 3 were unusable.
Arcade area, cash machine(contactless one) out of service. Machines had no tickets in, machines had no prizes in, a good number of machines were permanently off. This area definitely needs attention.
£1.50 per golf ball is a bit steep, if there refundable, that’s fine, but there not

FHU gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked Lovely little site. Well placed. Lovely guy that kept an eye on things. Mat I think his name was.

Disliked Toilets, not clean quite often and walking on wet floors as no warnings used. Health and safety!

Powered grass travel trailer or tent campsite

Liked Great facilities, friendly staff, good food on site and good location close to mablethorpe and supermarkets (5 min drive)

Disliked Close to a main road so can hear cars at 60mph in the night, however this can't be helped to to site location,

Not a dislike just a note, it would benefit from a water tap closer to the tent pitches and possibly another toilet block

Local attractions

Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea, Ingoldmells, Skegness and other Lincolnshire lovelies are all close by for the coastal connoisseurs; and market towns, villages and the Lincolnshire Wolds easy to get to inland. At Mablethorpe, many visitors wander through the dunes to Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary, home of many a brightly-coloured bird, birds of prey, primates, reptiles and roguish-looking meerkats as well as the seals. Kids and big kids will probably also like Mablethorpe's miniature railway, boating lake and funfair; fans of the latter should add in Ingoldmells, home of Fantasy Island theme park. This is also a cracking area for nature: more seals can be seen at the popular Donna Nook National Nature Reserve down the coast between Grainthorpe Haven and Saltfleet, and a huge nature reserve teeming with squawking seabirds is at Gibraltar Point near Skegness. Also nearby, bob about in boats or cast off again at the waters of the Lincolnshire Wolds, alongside many miles of trails and bridleways to walk, cycle or horse ride, or bob around Lincolnshire's market towns: recommended options include Alford, Louth and Lincoln.
