  • Friendly, family-run farm site within 15 minutes' drive of beaches
  • A 15-minute drive from Louth market town; half an hour from Skegness
  • On the main bus route from Lincoln to Mablethorpe (via Louth)
Based in the pretty rural village of South Reston near Louth, Holme Lea makes a handy base for exploring the beaches and wolds of lovely Lincolnshire. Welcoming families and (well-behaved) canines, pitches are scattered across a four-acre site that's neatly divided into two well-maintained and level grass paddocks sheltered by high hedges. This is a handy spot to stay in if you want to ditch the car – Holme Lea sits at the foot of the gorgeous Lincolnshire Wolds, with abundant cycle and walking routes to try out. The local village of South Reston is on a main bus route too, so you can catch regular services to Louth and Lincoln, or seaside towns including Mablethorpe (15 minutes’ drive) and Skegness (half an hour). The village also has a popular local pub, which you can walk to in five minutes; as well as serving a decent pint, it has a small essentials shop if you happen to run out of supplies. For those who want to fish, there are also fisheries within five minutes' drive of the site. Simple on-site facilities include a toilet block, emptying point and various drinking water points around the pitches. There's also a shower room (with sink, toilet and shower) available for a small extra charge.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked All areas, always clean and well looked after, the owners were lovely along with others pitched onsite, no rush to leave, even managed one last trip to the beach the day we left before packing up, lent me tent pegs and a mallet after i forgot ours, The park on site was brilliant for early mornings it really kept the kids busy , loads of other children on site for the kids to make freinds, i pitched just behind it so could see the kids constantly, my son even rode a bike without stabliers for the first time, was so sad to leave but will 100% be back already planning on booking again for a weeks time but for abit longer, 15 mins to Mablethorpe, nice drive, i was nervous camping alone with 3 kids but felt safe on site

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely, peaceful site and very close to the bus stop to Lincoln or the coast which was great. Nice play area for kids, I felt very safe leaving my 5 year old to play. Everyone was super friendly, I had some great conversations whilst there. Would definitely stay again ☺️

Electric optional grass pitch

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Lovely relaxed campsite with nice friendly owners. Louise thoughtfully placed us in view of the play area which our 2 young children throughly enjoyed. We loved the location, it felt rural and quiet whilst still being within easy reach of Mablethorpe. We would definitely stay again.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked A perfect camp site in our eyes - peaceful and well kept. 2 spacious grassed areas - some pitches with EHU, some without. The site is surrounded by trees and hedges which offer privacy and optional shade if full sun gets too much. There's a small play area with some ride on toys for children although it was very quiet when we visited. The toilets (one male, one female) were clean and tidy and there's a lovely shower room (at a charge of £2 per shower). Washing up is outdoors with a kettle to heat the water. We stayed 2 nights in our camper van and really enjoyed the relaxed vibe. The owners were very helpful and friendly and the site is on the bus route for Lincoln - Mablethorpe.

Disliked Nothing. The owners have got this place just right!
