What customers say

This is a clean, well-maintained site with spacious pitches and excellent facilities, particularly praised are the toilets and showers. Guests enjoyed the lake for swimming and fishing, the playground, and the peaceful rural location close to Ledbury. Staff are consistently described as friendly, helpful, and welcoming. While most visitors had an overwhelmingly positive experience, a few noted that some facilities could benefit from updating and that noise from other guests could occasionally be an issue.

Electric grass pitch

Liked We have just returned from a three night stay on the cider mill campsite. This is a loverly site with friendly staff, we checked in and was greeted by friendly staff and showed to our pitch. It was clean and we could park right next to it, the toilets and wash was clean and well lit which was great if the kids needed to use during the night as we could see where we was pitched.

We took our dogs and was some loverly tracks within the grounds, we fished and caught some nice carp of the surface with bread.

We also hired the fire pits available on site for £5 per night and had the pizza from the van which is cooked in a clay oven.

Will definitely be booking again next year

Electric grass pitch

Liked Relaxed atmosphere - lovely dog walk in the conservation area and enjoyed swimming in the lake.
Friendly staff.

Disliked Had to pick up litter on the pitch we chose before setting up.
Litter left around the lake.
Had to keep hand on the press tap while showering.
It was quiet when we stayed but if it had been busy then the shower\toilet facilities would have been insufficient.
Can only empty green waste (couldn’t empty our toilet cassette as we had put blue chemical in it before arrival)

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Beautiful setting with lovely facilities ( showers and Loos), lake to swim in for people and dogs.
Pizza van on the Friday night was a great addition , friendly owners , very clean and tidy and relaxing site.
Nearby to Farmhouse/ garden shop with cafe serving big variety of food, plenty of seating in and outdoors.
Locality to interesting places , easy to visit. Less than 10 mins to train station .
Good walks for dogs directly from campsite.

Disliked Nothing we disliked , just needed to be mindful that parts of the field were too bumpy to put a tent

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked I camped for one night at Woodside Lodges with my daughter to watch the perseids meteor shower, but we got far more from our trip. The campsite is beautifully equipped with clean and well-lit toilet and shower rooms. The swimming lake is cool and safe. There's a fridge and kitchen area - all well-managed and clean. And... we found a few fairy houses! The warden was incredible; she was thoughtful and helped out with everything she could. I will definitely go back. It's a gem.

Disliked There were two or three interested wasps.

Electric grass pitch

Liked We were given a lovely welcome and pitch recommendation. The toilet and showers were very clean, I love a shower room set up when I'm camping! The views are great and the swimming lake was a great attraction for families.

Disliked Just a little bit of rubbish where we pitched and some dog poo near by.

Local attractions

Nearby Ledbury is a lovely little market town famed for its cobbled streets and black and white timber-framed buildings: look out for and take a snap of the Market House in the town centre. The town is at almost equal distance from the cathedral towns or 'Three Counties' of Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester and a day should surely be had at each: Gloucester for its Harry Potter-scened cathedral and many museums; Hereford for the Old House, Hereford Cider Museum and Hereford Cathedral's Mappa Mundi; and Worcester for its library The Hive and the Three Choirs Festival (Worcester Cathedral by night is a spectacular sight too). The countryside surrounding Woodside Country Park is known for its Herefordshire sights like hopyards, cider orchards and Hereford cattle, while walkers and cyclists come to this part of the land to hike or bike the Malvern Hills and the Forest of Dean.
