Liked We spent the first 2 days of the New Year in our Motorhome at the Woodside Country Park and it was delightful! Waking up to a crisp, bright morning overlooking the lake and watching a stunning sun rise, we counted our blessing for venturing out at this time of year. The site is clear, well organised and fully equipped. The staff were fabulous and very helpful with local knowledge and ensuring we were comfortable on-site. My wife braved the ice covered lake to take a swim and enjoy the beautiful Sauna. Fabulous location and one we'll return to again later this year!

From the manager: Wow love your photos - was lovely to meet you. It was bracing that morning, but we were blessed to have the sunshine too.
Look forward to welcoming you back - the different seasons each bring their own joy, here at Woodside

Camping pod (five person)
Liked I liked this accommodation because it was easy to access, the cottages were clean and tidy, and it was great to have male and female bathrooms and toilets near the cottages.

The welcome was warm.…
Electric grass pitch
Liked The welcome was warm.
Disliked Although the welcome was nice. There was no site map. No mention of where to fill up the Motorhome with water. Or where to empty the grey/waste. The site looked like it needed tidying up.
The toilets were dirty and in need of total refurbishing.
The ladies shower was Luke warm and no way to turn the temperature up.
The hand dryer in both ladies and gents toilets were not working.
I was going to have a wet shave in there but the hand bowl was only big enough for two very small hands.
Thankfully we only stayed for one night. Would not return.

From the manager: We are glad you enjoyed our warm welcome, the site maps are located around the park or are on our website - to reduce the environmental impact of printing etc! When we started to explain about the water and grey waste you stopped us saying you didn't need water at that point.
We wish you had asked about the shower as we would dearly have shown you how to increase the temperature, yes the basins are slightly smaller inside the cidermill toilets but we had 2 other toilet blocks we could have shown you if you had asked, we do always finish our welcome saying please pick up the phone or pop to reception as we are only too happy to help with anything, and its always a lot to take in when when you first arrive.
We pride ourselves on keeping our site tidy, so can only presume you thought the grass was a little bit long?! In October due to weather and conditions, our grass is carefully managed to preserve and rest it and we have hardstanding pitches you can use too at no extra cost.
We are terribly sorry that our site wasn't for you, but we continue to welcome and enjoy our very loyal customer base.

From the manager: Thanks for your feedback, and we are sorry our site isn't for you. We do close some of our toilets and showers down during the quieter off peak times, we had a total of 8 people on the cider mill field that night, and had 2 showers, 3 toilets and 1 urinal open for our campers. Its a really tricky time during the off peak season as to whether its cost effective to stay open, but we do try for our loyal customers. Please always speak to us, we always welcome visitors with 'please don't suffer in silence, speak to us with any problems' and we are usually quick to help.
We are sorry again that our site isn't for you.
