Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Open pitch, helped find a spot by the owner. Quiet and peaceful campsite. Toilets/Showers/washing up facilities are okay
Great recycling points
Late check in and check out
So close to many local pubs and very close to the Malvern hills for a great walk

Electric grass pitch

Liked Location suited us and the campsite was quiet.

Disliked The field we pitched in was covered in animal droppings, a walk to the toilet was like a game of hop scotch . Not enough toilets / showers for the amount of campers and they were dated and inadequate.
Cleanliness generally throughout the site was poor.

From the manager: So pleased you are the absolute minority.

If you had any issues you could have rung me.

It's strikes me you should put you hand in your pocket and stay in a hotel. Rather than that you go budget and stay on a livestock farm.

I will put you on the list to be blocked.

Quiet well kept field with electric hookup, plenty of room between pitches,…

Electric grass pitch

Liked Quiet well kept field with electric hookup, plenty of room between pitches, great location, Malvern Hills and riverside villages within 10-15mins drive

Disliked Washroom facilities basic, but more importantly poor unclean condition. OK if you're in a motorhome or caravan abd happy to use own bathroom but otherwise disappointing.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: We didn't have anyone make any contact with respect any issues.

It's a shame people prefer to suffer then complain after.

We will try harder.!!

PLEASE folks if you come tell US if there are any issues

Thanks

Ok but needs money spending on the facilities, wouldn’t recommend.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Countryside and food location

Disliked No hot water for showers or washing up for 2 days, had to take cold showers.
Bathrooms are very outdated no hand soap, mirrors or sanitary bins.
Showers have no way to clean down afterwards so always dirty
Expensive for what you get

Disliked Outside washing up facilities

From the manager: I have to comment on your review:-

We don't provide accomadation we provide a mown pitch of grass for you to bring your accomadation to.

Customer service if you had something you needed assistance with we would have been delighted to assist if we could.

WiFi if you had searched for WiFi and entered you email address ( no password) you would have had free high speed WiFi

We are curious that you have said you would recommend Berrends and in fact would come back. It makes me have to ask the question WHY if we got so much wrong.

Local attractions

Set out for a recce of the Malvern Hills (five minutes' drive) and it shouldn't take long to find a spot to stretch your legs. Hollybush car park (10 minutes) is a pretty good place to start – here there are two scenic circular trails that can also be walked as a figure of eight if you're feeling energetic. It’s also half an hour to Symonds Yat for kayaking on the Wye, climbing and seeking out the peregrine falcons, goshawks and other raptors that breed on top of the rock. The Gloucester branch of the National Waterways Museum (30 minutes) is within a comfortable distance too if you'd prefer interactive exhibits and a narrowboat cruise. You'll likely want to be outdoors as much as poss when in these parts, so earmark some time for visits to Eastnor (10 minutes) and Goodrich castles (25 minutes). Trips over the border into Wales should also be on your radar if you're tempted to explore the overgrown ruins of Grosnor Castle (45 minutes), the handsome market town of Abergavenny (50 minutes) or the Brecon Beacons National Park (from 45 minutes).
