Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Clean facilities
large pitch
Pub with food on site
Friendly staff

Disliked -Noise from M5 & train line as both are really close
-people who don’t understand pitch etiquette and walk over your pitch
- others who allow their children to wander & play all over others pitches .

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Large pitch. Very clean toilets and shower facilities.
Shower cubicle large with plenty of hot water and decent power.
Apart from the motorway noise, which we knew about and didn't bother us, the site was very quiet.
Excellent pub next door with great food and prices very reasonable.

Disliked All gravel pitch....unable to secure awning to the ground as too hard to get stakes in

From the manager: Thanks for your review, i told most people that they need rock pegs for their awnings on the hard standing.

Great facilities, very friendly owners. Big enough tent pitch.…

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Great sized pitches , Fully serviced clean tidy the toilets and showers. Excellent for a small site.
Perfect for a short stay, or stop over for a longer journey
The pub is amazing and the food is outstanding for a pub not a restaurant , quality food and great service
Not much to do on site as in dog walks etc but that’s understandable for a small site , slight drawback is the noise from motorway … all in all would use again if on a long journey for a couple of nights

Disliked Road noise

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked The site is well set out and cared for with clean facilities. There is a pub on site although it was closed while we were there. It’s not too far from Tge Cotswolds and places to visit. Nikki the warden was friendly and helpful but previous bad experiences made her very watchful

Disliked You do get noise from the nearby M5 and railway line but it didn’t spoil it for us. Getting in and out of the car to put codes in at the gates was a nuisance and we wondered what would happen if there was an emergency after 10pm when they’re locked

Local attractions

The Pepper Pot Caravan Park is in a decent spot to use as a base for exploring Gloucestershire and its surrounds, particularly for those who like their wildlife or historic homes. Plenty of other activities and attractions can be found within ten miles. Two golf clubs are within a quick drive, the Stinchcombe Hill Golf Club two and a half miles away and the Cotswold Edge Golf Club within five. Also within a short drive are Berkeley Castle and the Vale of Berkeley (two and a half miles) and the Cattle Country Adventure Park (two miles) for yee-haw adventuring. Wildlife types have the River Severn Estuary and the Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust to explore within six and seven miles respectively, with more species to see at Oldown Country Park eight miles away; wildfowl and other critters along the nearby Gloucester to Sharpness Canal, and Dean Forest and the Wye Valley 11 miles from base. More into historic homes, local history or greenery? Take your Pepper Pot pick from the National Trust's Woodchester Mansion and park or Westbury Court Gardens (seven and 11 miles); Chavenage House and the National Arboretum at Westonbirt (both ten miles), or the National Waterways Museum at Gloucester Docks 16 miles away. The Pepper Pot team also recommends a punt at Chepstow Racecourse, 11 miles away; a look at the longest village green in England at Frampton On Severn nine and a half miles away, or a dip at Dursley Pool and Sports Centre within five and a half miles. For day trips, sink into some shopping and sightseeing at Bristol or spa city Bath.
