What customers say

This is a peaceful, spacious campsite with beautiful views and friendly staff. Facilities, including toilets and showers, are generally clean and well-maintained. The location is ideal for exploring the Cotswolds, with Stow-on-the-Wold a short walk away. While some pitches are sloping, most visitors found them manageable. The on-site rugby club and pizza van were popular additions.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked No gates, so easy to come and go when we chose to.

Disliked Toilets were not cleaned daily, and when the rugby club parents were on site, the number of loos was inadequate.
Washing up facilities were not cleaned regularly.
When the rugby was on, parents parked between and in the camping pitches. I asked 2 cars to move off the adjacent pitch so that a felliw camper could return. These pitches have signs and an electricity point, so they shuld not be confused with a parking area. So much for the 6 m fire break which is important in camping regulations.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Access and the views

Disliked Facilities were not the cleanest as they seemed to be open to the general public as well as those using the pitches. in our experience those using facilites tend to leave them in the condition they would like to find them, not so with these ones. If they are only for the pitches then perhaps use a security access code lock?

From the manager: Hi, thanks for visiting us & leaving a review.

You may be aware that there is a public footpath that runs through the rugby club ground so unfortunately we do get the odd walker taking advantage of the camping facilities & as you rightly observe, they don't care about the cleanliness of the facilities.

We can't put a lock on the doors as they are hired in units & the hire company don't allow any alterations to their units. The facilities are cleaned at least twice a day & we also leave ops & buckets for those who feel they can mop up after themselves, sadly, not everyone does.

Thanks for staying with us.

From the manager: Hi, thanks for staying with us & leaving a review. we're surprised you found the rugby people using the dedicated camping toilets as the club has its own integrated toilet facility & the camping toilets are a long way from the clubhouse, unless you used the clubhouse toilets in error. The camping toilets are cleaned at least twice a day, morning & evening so they should be in decent condition most of the time. Our staff have not reported any complaints from you or others, if they had we would have addressed this immediately.

Thanks for staying with us.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Quiet site with lovely views.

Disliked I don't think the showers get cleaned regularly, and the pitches were quite close together.

From the manager: Hi, thanks for visiting us & leaving a review. WE can advise that the showers are cleaned at least twice a day, morning & evening, however if the use is high during the day its not always possible to carry out additional cleans. We do leave mops & buckets etc for users to have a wipe around when they use the facilities between cleans, however some visitors are not so diligent.

The camping pitches are in accordance with the camping club recommendations which our planning permission is based on.
